Just wondering if you all are heading out this summer on vacation and where.

Looks like I'm staying in town - no plans to travel anywhere.
At least gas - so far - has not risen outrageously yet.

In about two weeks, my girl and I are going to Florida for a bit. I've friends down in Panama City Beach that we'll visit and then crisscross the state to near Palm Coast and Cape Coral. Kind of a rent-a-car road trip thing.

We have no idea how the beaches will be by then, but we're spending a few days at a "clothing optional" resort and, to be honest, I'm not a fan of the water anyway...I just love still get a kick seeing her naked at the beach, without a care in the world.:o

But yeah, the oil disaster's definitely gonna bring down the trip even if the beaches we go to are unaffected. This shit is so bad that even seeing a clean beach makes you take it all in and realize what's at stake.

Are you a fan of grasshoppers about 1/2 the size of your hand?

I thought not. :1orglaugh Just keep the windows rolled up tight when in transit, you never know when . . . when . . well, you get the general idea. :hatsoff:

I'm staying in Calif & Nevada, there really is no need for me to venture elsewhere at this particular time in my life. It seems that when I do go on trips afar, I almost can't wait to get home and sleep in my own bed and cook my own food etc. etc.

Really, California, as commy - marxist as the politicians are is a place that has it all, every type of terrain that you could imagine, every type of microclimate the list goes on!

Since you're staying home we can all go over and have a party at your house for all of our vacations.

We go nearly every summer. It's like a ritual....watching my girl turn from chalk white to beat red in a single afternoon. :D But yeah, we've had or man vs nature moments....like when a lizard crawled into her hair. And there was this cool outdoor margarita bar with an awning in the back. Right after we ordered some fancy nacho plate, a roach the size of Matchbox car dropped onto our table from above. It was so big that the people at the net table over heard it drop.

That's part of the charm! Plus Panama City is the only place where you can hear Korean-Americans who sound like Waylon Jennings.

Camping for one week(Child free) I can't wait. Then maybe again with them but they are going away for a month grandparent camping so they might be all camped out.

I plan to take a vacation from wearing pants for the month of July. That's right, nothing below the waist for the whole month. It makes grocery shopping a bit tricky, but I like to do it when I can (every 18-24 months, depending on sentencing).

Went to Portugal a few weeks ago. That was my summer holiday :D

Hopefully my boss will be kind enough to give me a week off in
either August or October :thefinger

in 2 weeks we fly to Bankok, 2 days later we go over the border to cambodia. We travel around a bit and after a bit less than 2 weeks we go over the border to Vietnam. Another 2 weeks and then back home again! About a month in total. Can't wait :)

Has it calmed down there?
I haven't heard anything for a while.

Seems to be "ok" now. However if things heaten up again we go straigth over the border and skip BK

Ha, you only wear pants when you are peeping in public, not when you are home on the computer.
