Oh man, the irony of NeoCons vilifying Communism everyday while saying nothing about NeoCon leaders in the past who have accepted massive loans from communist China is so damn hypocritical and ignorant on their part LOL

^^ Have you ever noticed that you really only have conversations with yourself in these political threads that you post? Nobody really cares enough to point out the flaws in your arguments anymore because you don't see two sides to any story. Ideally, they just give you your own forum where you can post whatever you want and respond to your own arguments. Then at least we wouldn't have to see all these threads clogging up the first page. Seriously, do you talk about anything else? It's got to be monotonous to drone on and on about politics all the time. Even Wolf Blitzer takes a day off occasionally...

FYI - Both pol parties happen to be responsible, for lack of a better term, for trade negotiations with the PRC. Nixon reestablished relations, Clinton was in office when China was rewarded ''most favored nation trade status", Bush had been brown nosing 'em during his reign and today they're turning out some of the most advanced submarines in the world like cigars !

I think the biggest news here is that somebody is still watching SNL.
I thought it was funny if too long by about six minutes - which is usual for SNL, which should be a 30 minute show without a "star" that has about five minutes of it written by Trey Parker and Mat Stone. $800 billion is $800 billion. How the hell is the US going to pay that amount back while fighting a war on two fronts?
Just for the record, the Chinese don't really care which party is to 'blame' for the debt. Last week I read that at current rates the Chinese economy will surpass the US economy in 2032. (The fact that projections like this, with an air of inevitability built into them abound is sad in itself.) For old farts like me that are used to the democracies having the best economies and the dictatorships turning to shit, it is pretty depressing.

Don't feel you have to reference all volumes of Marx, but sticking to the basics just outline for me how exactly the current Chinese economy satisfies the basic tenets of a communist economy. Cheers.
