Don't do it. They're way over priced, and they aren't any better. Worst, least stable machine I ever had the misfortune of owning was my last mac. Piece of shit.

To be fair, I may have just had a lemon, but I've had a few macs, and they crash as much as PCs. At home I have a Dell laptop. Got it refurbished for about 350$, have had no issues with it at all. I could buy four of them for the price of one equivalent Mac.

I had a Mac back in the day. (We're talking 1996 back in the day here). While Macs and computers have gotten slightly better since then, my experience with my Mac was absolutely dreadful across the board. Multiple crashes, software not working despite meeting/exceeding specifications, inability to upgrade anything, hardware catching fire..I was most pleased when the day came where I was able to pawn that Mac off on some other sucker.

Macs are pricey and while the adage goes you'll spend as much on a couple of PCs as you will one Mac, that extra cost comes from supposed stability. Macs can and do get bugged just like PCs. Granted many people around me use Macs and seem to have no problems but I'm content with my PC laptop and have no plans to go back.

I bought a Macbook Air last December and I have no complaints. It's an excellent product
