Sharing Tube Sites

What is your policy for sharing videos from tube sites via the "Share That Video" Board? And What is your policy as far as using link shortening services when sharing?

Thanks.

Most tube sites are ok, you'll know if they're not if they come up like this ***** when you try to post them. Use Go Advanced instead of Post Quick Reply to preview your post and then you'll know.
Don't use link shortening services as the can be used to get around the word filter and some of them earn you money, which is strictly forbidden on here.

Okay. I see a bunch of sites which come up with the word filter. Some of which i use regularly. I am an honest person really trying to just share content on here which i know people would like just as i do. So what should i do? Not share that content, and limit the people on here as to what i can share with them? or should i come to you guys to ask why that site is blocked?

Also, what about web masters who own tube sites? Do you "Not" want them sharing rare videos and good finds which are on "their" site? How do you distinguish that from xvideos or sharing any other site. I feel like it shouldnt be a problem considering its within the scope of discuss.

Thanks for getting back to me. This information will greatly improve my experience on here from good to excellent. :)

See im confused on why wouldnt we be able to use a site. If content is being shared in a section for sharing content and it relates....Whats the problem?

There's a lot of reason sites get censored. Among them is having content we don't like or the owner figured the rules about spamming/advertising his own site didn't apply to him.

So the moderators decide what the people are allowed to share/watch? As for the owner, well i mean how do you really regulate weither or not someone is spamming/advertising their own site in a section dedicated to sharing content for people to view especially in an industry which people own entire networks of sites 3+ so you never really know. So whats the point? I mean you could look at the entire sharing section as a spamming/advertising section weither its webmasters sharing their own stuff or its consumers doing it for them. Right? Am i way off to think that?

You may think whatever you like, however, if you don't like how we run things you can always choose to not post here.

I am just trying to understand the logic behind this. I love your approach in dealing with it though. "Think whatever you like" Cool.
