I guess there is evidence that there is a global water shortage. It is after all what caused the fall of all great civilizations of the past. The mians disposed of sacrafical bodies in their only source of drinking water. The black plaque is another great example. History has proven time and time again that we cannot drink contaminated water and continue to thrive.

This is why the plant purifies the water and removes contamination.

Every bit of water you drink has a portion in it that has at some point in time been someones pee, **** or even been part of the living flesh of another human being. If it gets purified by a sand bed in nature or a processing plant doesn't matter; when the contaminants are gone they are just that: gone.

That's fuckin Disgusting no matter how you spin it, hell I don't really trust the water I drink from the faucet now, and NO I am not from, nor is the water I drink from my faucet in one of these area's that's using this sewage water that's being recycled to be used as drinking water again.. FFS IMO that's just a nauseating thought.. :eeew:ukey::throwup:

Let's not get paranoid and hysterical here people. Sayvara has a point, once water goes through the decontamination process it's reasonably safe. You'd be hard pressed to find a water source that's not contaminated to some degree.

I'll agree that a lot of drinking water comes from the sewer and is professionally purified and tested for bacteria etc. I also think when you boil water it also ***** a lot of diseases but I could be wrong, I don't usually drink cold tap water as I don't like the colour! The Black Death was caused by rats i thought and new diseases brought in from the far east that europeans had no immunity to but maybe now do, even if it did effect the water there were no purification plants at the time so not really comparable. Many at the time blamed the Jews for the black death and burned a large majority of them alive in an attempt to exterminate them a good 600 years before the holocaust.

I saw ''Survivorman'' make a ***** still on TV before... yep, he peed on the ground and then he covered it up with a length of some handy clear plastic wrap... 8 hrs later he had a whole 5 or 6 droplets of distilled pee water to drink. :dunno::2offtopic


Aside I:Reverse osmosis people! You can purify any water with RO.

Aside II: The idea that you can get potable water out of a NYC tap is definitely one of the wonders of this world, indeedy.
