Let's not wordsmith. If we both understand that selling records by an individual performer is about more than just the relative ability to sing..what's the point of implying she can't sing if but to suggest also that she isn't talented?:dunno:

Anyway, you still haven't mentioned where you've seen Sasha's talent. When I mentioned her acting "ability", you thought I was referring to her porn vids. Now your judging the potential of her ability based on the poor acting in a bad movie that I assume you haven't seen??

Obviously you and I have drawn different conclusions on her ability. It is very important for an actor to be properly cast and have a worthy story and script. That's why most don't take on every script and role.

We've seen time and time and time and time again where an artist of any stripe performs a role where the casting and script doesn't benefit their talent. Singers are asked to perform songs that don't suit their talents.

Properly cast? In The GF Experience, she played a 22 year old whore. What better casting does she need? Anyway, I've seen plenty of good actors in shitty rolls and shitty movies. No matter how poorly matched, I can't recall spending 90 minutes being entirely distracted over how ice cold, monotonous and unbelievable a performance is.

She was given the script, she chose to star in it and if she couldn't deliver because the stars hadn't lined up perfectly and she wasn't committed to it (which she claims she entirely was) then she simply doesn't have the chops.

I've never seen so many excuses over something so trivial. I'm happy for her success and I hope she'll prove the naysayers wrong in time, but so far, her reel leaves a lot to be desired and her talent really needs to be proven.

Soderbergh says he was impressed by a piece on her he read. That's what interested him in her specifically as opposed to all the of the other hot pieces of ass in porn.

Again, there is much much more to a scene or movie coming off well than the talent of an actor. That's what you pay directors for. They determine how lines are delivered and what the scene is designed to convey, etc.

Most people know you can't really judge an actor on a C or D rated movie per se.

The complexity of a role has nothing to do with amount of lines. I has to do with the kind of person you expect the character to create in a viewer's mind.

A role could have 3 lines in an entire movie. That doesn't mean the character isn't complex in what he/she conveys to the viewer. (The whole picture is worth a thousand words thing...that concept).

As she gets more roles and steadies her footing we'll see.
