But I guess Paul is better than the two people who came in 2nd and third in the straw poll,Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin.:1orglaugh
Ron Paul is a genuine Conservative and that being the case he won't ever win the the Republican nomination which is very unfortunate becoz artificial conservatives greatly outnumber genuine conservatives both in and outside of the GOP

No, his credo is that "the Constitution is the law of the land and that the free market system needs to be left alone, elect me if you believe this as well." Since when does wanting to limit something's power equate to "hating" it?Also, I find this man an enigma. His credo is: "I **** government. I want to disassemble government. Please elect me to run your government."
:dunno:
Congratulations on making it through a post without using the word NeoCon!

He's not some oxymoron that people make him out to be. He's not the leader of The Anarchist Party or whatever goofball fringe bullshit. People try to make him out to be a walking hypocrisy or some hippie dippie Conspiracy nut and he's absolutely neither.
You really think the traditional American couple are going to join this group?
One thing that's interesting about this thread is that people with varying views on politics seem to like, or at least respect Ron Paul.
What traditional American couple, the old graying mum and pops on their last leg ?
It gives one a bit of hope that CPAC picked Ron Paul in the straw poll. But like others, I doubt that he'll get anywhere once the primaries start. The Club for Growth doesn't like him and he'll have to back up on some of his libertarian views in order to satisfy the Evangelicals and Zionists within the GOP, especially in the south.
