Rock Blues?

Anybody here know of any good Rock Blues music?
Something like Led Zeppelins', Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan's stuff.

Cream had some good rock blues, also Living Colour was pretty rock blues.

Pick yourself up some early Rolling Stones albums. In the early/mid 60's, the Stones were considered to be the best White blues band around.

Hell, just buy Beggar's Banquet and be done with it. There's some great blues inspired tunes on that one: Dear Doctor, Prodigal Son, Salt of the Earth, Factory Girl, etc. And they even throw in one of the greatest rock songs of all time to boot: Sympathy for the Devil.

That's a "must have" album for any rocker!

there was a kickass thread asking this same question 2 months ago

use Pandora to find good music you aren't familiar with

Some very good points, Rey C.

In accordance with the Guitarnnblack's wishes... (his wanting Led Zeppeln's songs in the thread)...

"Heartbreaker" (Plant-Page, actually the whole band got writing credit) off Led Zeppelin II is a bridge song.... probably the first successful cross between blues and rock...

Whitestripes, Yardbirds, early stuff of Animals, early stuff of Fleetwood Mac, Canned Heat, Big Brother and the Holding Company

Wow Sabrina -- very good. :) You know your music!! -- though I'd put the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton (Bluesbreakers, and Cream), Taj Mahal along with Alvin Lee and Ten Years After and The Paul Butterfield Blues Band in with that group as well.

Johnny Winter was an innovator as was Duane Allman, as was Mike Bloomfield.

Jimi Hendrix had his listeners too -- the late Randy California of the group Spirit. And Billy Gibbons, later of ZZ Top...
