RIP firefox, it was nice knowing you

:goodpost: this is indeed the problem though -- nothing really 'beats' Google as a search engine. One just has to be careful though. All I use is the engine ; not gmail, the cloud, android, etc.

I do use Chrome though as a third browser . And I have nothing against Android tbh .

:goodpost: That seems like more of a realistic outlook, to be honest.

Also, this next question is for everyone who has Opera browser and has a YouTube account:

Much of the time, when I try to remove a comment on one of my videos, it will appear to be removed, but if I refresh the page or come back later, the comment(s) is still there.
If I open Firefox and do it, then it works and stays removed.
Same is true for my inbox; comments, messages, shared videos, etc. They will keep appearing as new, even after I read them. Refresh the page and they are new again.
If I open Firefox to go through them, then they'll stop appearing new.
So clearly there is an issue with my Opera browser. Anyone else have this issue?

squallumz

knows petras secret: she farted.
You dodged my question twice now. I don't see the need to be so secretive about it when you're so passionate about the "not".
I'm not a google fan either but I'm asking you since you're the loudest and most persistent about it here.
Hypothetically, if you were able to grab the whole world by the head and tell them what to use instead of Google (search engine. forget the browser altogether), what would it be? - and don't just say "Not Google".

not google! :rofl2:

 u two !! cut it out !! ^^ :goodpost: (s) ^^^^

squally ! behave !! ;)

Moon, must admit - i have an issue viewing YT in Opera too now -- it was fine before, but last several months has played up. so i now view YT in FF and/or Chrome

Chrome automatically updates itself too -- be that good or bad.

I like Opera- it appears to be faster than FF- one big question- how come when I hit a link on a particular page, to bring up a pic for example- I cannot hit the BACK arrow to get back to the original page I was on? I have to hit the "Tile" option on top, and maximize the home page on the right - which is a pain!! Is there an option that I have to click on up top- am I missing something OR do I have to live with this?

glad i came back to read this thread, nice to see all the humor in it.
i have settled on using the Opera Browser with google being the main search engine.
it works well for me and my basic internet browsing.
but thats all i use google for is search, as far as the glitches posted i honestly don't know.
would have to say Firefox would be my 2nd choice, just can't seem to grow on the Chrome Browser for whatever reasons.

version 10.0 ; had it on my netbook (low powered single core ) for a week now and this version seems pretty slick to me; and scrolling -- ff's bugbear -- seems to have improved no end imo.
