In my opinion, if there was more freedom of thought, the Forum would not be bad at all.
I don't know if in the past there have been problems with users but sometimes the messages are not published despite being innocent texts.
In addition, the non-functions that you have at the beginning (newbie) lead the user to leave the forum or to write useless comments to increase the reactions ..
