I'll change my name to Clint Eastwood then I'll sneak in via Mexico. :dunno:
Followed the thread and....uh..never mind.
If elevator music is your mainstream barometer then I guess there goes your mainstream angle. Bearing in mind, there is a WHOLE LOT of rap that isn't laced with vulgarities and profanities....and yes...it has made it to elevators, sports arenas, stadiums etc....:2 cents:
NASCAR is the most popular sport in America. It has the largest fan base of any sport in this country.
What are the most popular sports in America today? There are a handful that stand above the rest and some of the ones on the top tier of our culture may surprise those who don’t follow them. Here’s an overview of the most popular sports in America.
In professional sports, the most obvious answer is the National Football League. The NFL is by far the most popular sporting enterprise in this country and it occupies a great deal of everyone’s attention. Pro football really started to make a dent into the scene in the 1950s and 1960s and today it outshines everything else. Of course, the Super Bowl is annually the most watched television event in the country.
It may come as a surprise to see that NASCAR is now among the most popular sports in America. In a few decades time, NASCAR has gone from being a minor sport with a small, almost entirely regional audience to being incredibly popular all over the country. Drawing crowds of more than 100,000 to events and an even larger television audience, the sport has managed to become one with mainstream popularity.
The NFL’s current TV Contract:
The contract took effect in 2006 and runs through the 2011 season.
AFC Package: CBS pays $622.5 million/year
NFC Package: FOX pays $712.5 million/year
Sunday Night: NBC pays $650 million/year
Monday Night: ESPN Pays $1.1 billion/year
Total Revenue: $3.735 billion/year
NASCAR’s current TV Contract:
The contract took effect in 2007 and runs through the 2014 season.
ABC/ESPN: $270 million/year
FOX: $208 million/year
TNT: $ 82 million/year
Total Revenue: $600 million/year
Honestly, who cares what you think Jagger? Oh no, I better stop listening the music I like because Jagger69 on the FreeOnes message boards thinks it sucks.
Probably hundreds more than care what you think...duh.
If you need someone anywhere to help you decide what to do in any aspect of your obviously low level of life...it sucks to be you; absolutely.
I've always been a rock n roll enthusiast, but theres some rappers with genuine and creative talent. I'll definitely agree that these days there is a lot of c-rap, but IMO some rap is legit. Unfortunately rap has been besmirched by modern jokers who call themselves entertainers who lack meaning in their lyrics and make money out of recycling the same shit. The talentless hacks I'm talking about are the ones who wear $1000 sunglasses, over sized clothes and tacky golden bling in their videos talking about how "gangsta" they are. Music isn't about gimmicks and showmanship it's about soul. Mad props to rappers who keep it real and sing about something relevant.

I think alot of people who hate rap are [racist] to a certain degree, and jealous that rap took rock from the number 1 most popular spot in music. Thats just me.
tbh, I doubt any rock artist are more lyrical with their music than Nas,Big Pun, or Big L.
Yes. This is what they do to us over here:
With nothing but rap music playing in the background day and night. Fortunately, I escaped with my life, but whenever I hear Snoop Dogg or DMX I go into convulsions and shit myself. I will never be the same again.
