Yes it was our Turkey dinner with just the 4 of us. It was great. Today the house smelled of Gingerbread as it was baking day.

"Kin" means relatives or ancestors so L3ggy is right. I'm not an expert in language, but those words are close enough alike and in meaning that it wouldn't surprise me if it has a common root in another language or in an archaic English version. :dunno:
