Luna sounds like a female name to me, so I would have to say it's a she. Plus in a lot of mythology the sun is represented often represented by somebody male and the moon is represented by somebody female like in Greek and Roman mythology.

But for some reason in German it's:

Die Sonne (The sun - DIE is the female article)
and
Der Mond (The moon - DER is the male article)
