Ha I just read that, too. But it was about the very first PS3. That this can play any games from any region.

EDIT: Ahhhh yeah! I totally forgot about that Lungy! That was the problem. The damn Americanos use NTSC instead of PAL!

I would assume it is the same. As far as I know none of that technology changed or they'd be financially screwing themselves in the updating of technology in their product.

NTSC can play anything.

They are region free. Games. However, the movies, being blu-ray, will be region coded. The games are indeed region free.
