PUI- Posting while Under the Influence

By the time I joined FreeOnes in 2009 it had been a good number of years since I had sworn off alcohol, except occasionally sipping a premium whiskey from an old fashioned on rocks. My question, have you ever/how often do you post under the influence of either alcohol or some other mind altering intoxicant? I've never gone on an alcohol induced posting bender, but I suspect some sort of intoxicant has played a part in some of the posts I've read. So, time to fess us, gentleman, Have you, and how often?

I've posted under the influence ... of caffeine. Whether you count that as a "mind altering intoxicant," I don't know.

Not exactly what I had in mind. I'm constantly guilty of posting under the influence of caffeine, Dunkin' Donuts 80 cup bag $13.47 at Wally World!

Short answer: Yes I have, and will continue to do so.

Long answer: "Under the influence" is subjective. Have I ever posted in the midst of an alcohol-fueled frenzy? Possibly, but I suck at typing - and I'm somewhat of a grammar/spell nazi - so, you'd never be able to tell. Also, I have spent more than one evening having a couple belts, and posting online.


If I were to get really bored, I could go read some old posts from here, and remember in passing if I was drinking that time or not....but no examples spring to mind.


(Just for a reference point; I once replied to a "What are you drinking" thread (on another board) with an honest answer of " I just did a shot of Bacardi 151"..


I didn't notice until someone replied to it that I made the post at 8:30AM...on a weekday.)

The majority of my posts are a pause while edging (actually, all of them are). And yes, alcohol is usually involved to numb/extend the experience. My MO laid bare.

I haven't been drunk in ages, I'm not going all AA and citing the month, day, year of my "sobriety" because I never considered myself an alcoholic, as it were, but there was definitely a time in my life where I regularly imbibed to the point of excess, but that was back in college and the first few years after and has long since passed. I can't even fathom attempting to read the forum, let alone successfully make any posts in a good and true drunken state, but it does sound intriguing; the words all blurring, trying to cut through the alcohol to make sense of the words, thinking you've understood what someone posted, enough to piss you off even, and then trying to type out a drunken rebuttal or retort, I mean fuck, that sounds goddamn delightful! I'm out of booze at the moment, but the next time I pick up some Johnnie Walker for sipping I'll grab a bottle of Two Dog for the explicit purpose of tying one on and logging in, fun times are sure to be had.
