President Obama touches down in Ireland at start of six-day European tour

Because he is the President, and it is very important forhim to make trips to foreign countries.

:dito: The disastrous foreign policy of the Bush administration had left much of the public in Europe wanting little to do with America and some wanting to cut ties completely as their troope died in either Iraq or Afghanistan as well as an increase in home grown threats (ie London and Madrid) due to the 'war on terror'. Last time a US President visied was Bush Jnr in 2003 and he was met with angry crowds as the coalition had just begun the Iraq campaign but looking at the reception Obama has received here and in Ireland shows that the people are warming to America once again for the first time in years. The Queen seems to be quite fond of the Obamas and them of her.

Did obama touch the queen again this time? :1orglaugh

Also, as a gift to the queen, did obama offer some more DVDs of the family like he did in 2009 .... or the tied for second option ... old dusty Beta or VHS tapes revealing his radical left wing political upbringing? :1orglaugh  :clown:

Post thumbnails.

Thank you

Obama just delivered his speech in Westminster Hall, the first American President to speak here. Bush would've been the first in 2003 when he was supposed to speak but angry crowds led to its cancellation :nanner: It took Obama half hour to get out after his speech as so many people wanted to congratulate him, Tom Hanks was there to oddly enough. I was fairly indifferent to Obama before but now I'm beginning to like him :lovecoupl

ps I'll post the speech when it becomes available

:facepalm:The Europeans were more or less governed and lead by greedy leftist/socialist scummy governments that are full of shit and of anti americanism. They hated Bush because he defended the American interests before the rest. And when Obama a democrat was elected, the European governements welcome him in arms. A lot of Europeans have a very short memory and have forgotten that without the Americans freeding them from Nazism and without the Marshall plan, they wouldn't even be born nor know prosperity. The angry crowds against Bush jnr were the leftist/socialists people that plague the European countries. It is well know that a lot of European people who are leftists/socialists hate Republicans.
The people in Europe are tired of leftists/socialists. Juts look at the situation of Spain now which was lead by a socialist government. The sooner we will get rid of permanently from socialists/leftists, the better it will be for all of us.

In a tizzy they are...Really...'dayom' Michelle is tall...blah, blah, blah, and even a 'You cain't touch dis', etc., etc., etc.:yahoo:

Some of these YahOOS are going to run out of cogs to blow before the '12 campaign even starts...

I suppose it's best they get it all out now as it is going to be pretty bad (for them) when the economy starts to improve and other 'good' stuff start coming down the pipe..:1orglaugh

What's up with his wife?
Is it just me or does anyone else think she dresses like a clownlady or something?

Is this what's fashionable these days?

:dunno:I care more about the fact that Obama gave the orders to nail OBL, rescue a tanker Captain, send more troops to Afghanistan making victory possible, saved GM and Chrysler who are now announcing a wave of new profits, investments and hiring and that he can address his country, other countries and dignitaries without turning himself into a punch line.

But I'm sure Michelle and probably Oprah appreciate the interest in her height and choice of fashion.

LOL. :1orglaugh

I still see angry crowds against Obama, just because he is "American", but I don't think that they can find United States on a planisphere, surely don't know what is marxism/socialism or fascism/nazism (because probably they weren't all leftists people). The rest are merely bullshits.

Anyway, social democratic parties in Europe are going really bad, but that's another question.

Politically, he's a joke.

I didn't realize that was still up for debate.

I apologize, and leave this thread to the chosen one's disciples.

That was the last guy.:dunno:

So called jokes in politics are about who has the last laugh.:2 cents:

I'll remind you again, unemployment was higher at this same point under Reagan...Still above 10%.

The only reason why Obama is really taking a hit on u/e is mainly because his talking heads don't to put today's u/e in that perspective.

Surely that wouldn't matter to the Obama haters..but the rest of the reasonable people would likely say...'oh, maybe we ought to see how this u/e thing eventually plays out..'
