One thing about the Supreme Court is you never really know how those folks are gonna vote. There have been many surprises from those who expected to do one thing consistently and damn them they do another. State Supreme Courts are another thing. For example in Illinois the Supreme Court does pretty much what the Master Democrat says to do. Wisconsin is the opposite doing what you would expect the Trumpista party to want. But State courts have terms, US is life. Big difference
That's why what's happening now is such a worry. trump thought he had 2 justices in his pocket, but they've both disappointed him, so he's more likely to find someone as extreme as possible, to increase the certainty that they'll vote the way he wants.
