Police Brutality On Soldier

Yeah he was very cooperative too....

Idiots, all of them.

He may have been intoxicated, but he did not deserve that kind of abuse. Talk of 'cutting off the arm that defends you', sick!

I didn't see anything excessive about their use of force. The guy was clearly resisting. His status as a vet is irrelevant to the discussion.

The man speaks ... err posts from experience ! (yes, on the right side of the law !)
Trust him on this one ! :hatsoff:

When do we ever read a good cop story ?

We don't ! therefore :drumroll please: All cops are BAD cops.
That's about it, huh ?

Am I wrong ?

Most of these sensationalist videos are taken out of context and we generally don't have a clue about the sequence of events that lead up to these types of arrests. Watching the video, sure, it's easy to fall into the tide pool of anti cop sentiment but we best not let our emotions form public opinion and make good judgments based upon the facts, all of the facts and nothing but the facts.

After all.... who ya gonna call when .... ? :D

Ghostbusters:dunno:

Seriouslsy. I can understand that from the video it looks bad but really we have no clue what was said/done that lead up to these events. All we see is tha police abusing a man, but why? No one as why, they just assume.

Why ? because "f a _ _ l ..k _ n g's" good work for the southern poverty law centre LLC is paying dividends as the subject posts a police abuse video or story every time somebody farts, solely to create the impression that we should all fear law enforcement !
Looky look here ! A cop is getting a cat out of a tree for an 8 y/o girl, and over there the cops saved the life of a woman being asphyxiated by her crankster boyfriend. Down that street and in the creek, a cop saved the lives of 2 unconscious motorists using his handy Strader tactical to safely cut away the seatbelts on a vehicle taking in water and on and on and on, it's every day police work ! The only reason why these videos make news is 'cause they don't reveal the normal everyday activity that the police would encounter, lol less Oakland, Detroit, Philly, Vegas (that was for you Johnny)... don't get me started before I name every city in America greater than 100k population ! ha ha !

Here's "Arch" on it :

..the police arrest and beat you for no reason?.. Good question!

I assume you watched the video, and I assume you also read the linked article. The one that stated the footage was responsible for the charges being dropped against Lance Corporal Mark Aspinall. Your opinion that "we generally don't have a clue about the sequence of events that lead up to these types of arrests" therefore does not apply! The appeal court viewed the footage in full, this proves that although we do not see the full events leading up to this, the court did, and ruled that the police were completely unjustified!

The statement the judge made at the appeal is below, along with a link to the article I have quoted!

Judge Phipps asked: 'Where is this man of violence? I am shocked and appalled at the level of police violence shown here.'
The judge said he had 'great concerns' about the CCTV footage and questioned the truthfulness of the officers' statements.

The "Here's "Arch" on it " whether intentionally or not, contains judgements and assumptions that are effectively made towards me. Obviously alongside anyone else who does not agree with the behaviour of the police in the incident shown in the above video. However, ironically I think it actually tells us more about yourself than it does anyone else.

it didn't look to me like he was doing anything. funny that they charged him for assaulting police AFTER they took him down. what the hell were they gonna charge him with before?
