Palin's Ignorance Revealed During Campaign '08

my point exactly.

But my orginal post I agree with everything that the poster said. I just highlited that he said unelected she is no threat, but people are still comming after her. If she is no threat, they when keep covering her. If you ignore her she will go away, much like she did after they took a beating in the election.

Well the legitimate press is not going to cover every obscure appointment and person in government with a GS designation.

Maybe some networks and "hosts" will for political purposes but the legitimate press never has and never will unless there are legitimate stories.

No press outlet did expose's on people like Wolfowitz or Perle even thought they would become some of the most influential policy advisors in GWB's administration. And have a profound impact on where this country is today even impacting your life directly.

Man I reckon people love going on about Pallin because at the end of the day even after all the shit she is actually quite an attractive woman. Probably couldnt listen to her like....

Or she is just a stupid and ridiculous political figure and that makes for an easy and hilarious target. In a comedy sense she's the gift that keeps on giving.

"But all sources were granted anonymity, and in most cases the authors provide no specific documentation for their account."

Just pointing out that you can't believe everything you read, hear, or are told. Interesting too how her enemies just won't seem to back down....they keep finding ways to attack.....hmm.....could it be that she is perceived as a possible threat?

Just sayin'.

Quite true that you can't believe everything you read, hear, or are told.

Too bad Palin still allows so little interaction between herself and the non-Fox media; perhaps then someone could ask her some in-depth questions and we could all decide for ourselves. My guess is that she's incredibly, intimidatingly knowledgeable since, when it comes to newspapers and magazines, she reads "all of 'em"!

As for her being a "possible threat" - well, I have my doubts:

In addition to being the book that revealed Harry Reid's grotesque racism, we also learn more about the woman who came close to being within a heartbeat of the presidency...

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/01/09/2008-campaign-all-over-again-in-new-book/

Excerpt:

"In the days leading up to an interview with ABC News’ Charlie Gibson, aides were worried with Ms. Palin’s grasp of facts. She couldn’t explain why North and South Korea were separate nations and she did not know what the Federal Reserve did. She also said she believed Saddam Hussein attacked the United States on Sept. 11, 2001."

She really is a regular watcher of FoxNews.

funny you mention "Harry Reid's grotesque racism".
i dont really see racism there.
obamo is light skinned for a black (because he's half white)
and he does , or did, change his dialect depending on to whom he was speaking.
truth hurts, or just grotesqe.
i do see a racial aspect of it.

What the dems dont want to admit was that the whole thing was racial.
the campaign , the election and the presidency.
The dems loved hillary, but then they saw obama.
He was perfect! Black, but not too black + plus he could speak so well.
So they ran with him, chucked hillary in the gutter and endorsed him.
because they knew he would get more votes than hillary based on his appearance
He'll get 99.9 percent of the black vote, plus 50 times as many blacks will vote. He'll get the young guilt ridden white liberal vote and he'll even get more latino votes.
face it, they endorsed him because they knew he'd get more votes than hillary based on hillary being a white woman and obamo being a "black guy".
the whole thing was based on race and sex, exactly what the hypocrite democratic party pretends to be against.

I suppose that is why Obama’s first and bar far his biggest win against Hillary was in Iowa which is 95% White and 2.5% Black.

I love neo-con revisionist history.

OK bail, whatever you want to think.
you want to think they chucked hillary in the trash because obamo was more qualified, experienced and would make a better PREZ thats cool with me.

And dont call me a neocon , I dont call you an asshole or a punk do I?

Wow. Now I'm amazed she didn't say "I can see the Soviet Union from my house". :dunno:

I thought her interview with Katie Couric revealed it all.

Her interview with Princess Chipmonkia (I can't claim that as my own. That was Dennis Miller.) was an ambush. They recorded several hours of interviews and cherry picked what they thought would fuck her up. That, and Couric needed to do it in order to garner credibility and possibly higher viewership. I don't know what her ratings are now but I still won't watch CBS news.

Did we watch the same interview? Yeah Couric asked her the tough questions...Here is an excerpt: "What newspapers do you read?" That stumped her...

Katie Couric has been a staunch Republican supporter for years. I highly doubt that she would try to cripple a party she supports financially. If anything, they would paint Sarah Palin in a good light. :dunno:

She asked her and Biden identical questions seperately. My favorite was when she was asked to name what another important supreme court case was besides the abortion one Roe V wade and her reply was "I will get back to you" ,while Biden cited several including some he was involved with as a legislator. She was in way over her head.

Just because Sarah P. didn't know anything about the Bush Doctrine, what the duties of the Vice President were, Supreme Court cases in general terms, what books or newspapers she'd read, thought that Africa was a country, referred to others as socialists (even though she'd supported a windfall profits tax on the oil industry and then distributed the money to the people of Alaska) and took 6 years and 5 colleges to secure a 4 year degree in "journailism", I'm willing to accept that Sarah is really just as she now claims: misunderstood.

I just saw on 60 Minutes that Palin was picked by McCain's campaign manager, Steve Schmidt, off of Youtube and Google. You can find me (and millions of other people) on Google. So why the hell wasn't I considered for Treasury Secretary?! :crash: OK, so I couldn't take on Geithner. But unlike Palin, at least I know a T-bond from a T-bone. It ain't fair!

Dude, let it go. (Palin can't speak for several hours about politics.) She is a Veep carpet bagger. She saw the big time offered - for which she was historically ill prepared - and she went for it. (If she really is so smart, don't you think she would have released some of those grade point averages and college transcripts from those (4?) different mediocre at best colleges? I mean, we all know she was called Barracuda on the basketball team now don't we? Why wasn't she called "the Gov" or the "prez" or "Four point Oh?"

She didn't pass muster. The spotlight, alluring as it was, only served to highlight the inadequacies beyond her surface attractions. Once the race was over she dropped out of real politics and concentrated on her own ends. She is going to be rich. Rich in a way that would have been inconceivable a year and change ago. It is now within her remit to royally screw with the republican party nationally. Which as a fan of good government, irrespective of party, I find a minor tragedy.

Alongside the blue states and the left in general her book attacked the real enemies of SP, which was just about any member of the republican party in Alaska who did not kowtow to her. (Regardless of their years of service to the party, the time and effort they put into her success or the fact that they will continue to fight for conservative values years after she has abandoned the party and politics.)

If there really are hours of footage from Couric that have SP discoursing freely on events from the Oddessey to the Odd Couple then I am sure that they will surface. In the mean time, the guy who actually ran the campaign she was involved in thinks she is and remains a lying twat. Even when confronted by the unequivocal truth from an independent inquiry that nailed her in an ethics inquiry.

I Hope this link works.

And this is why the left notices her. She is having her way with some very powerful people on the right, and as obviously dumb as she is (Possibly the most stupid national ranked politician since...Quayle?) SP can still command a chunk of the Rovian electorate. And this chunk happen to be the most vocal and active.

If Palin and Quayle stood before the Magic Mirror and went through the "Mirror, mirror on the wall... who is the dumbest one of all?" routine, I really think Sarah would have that one in the bag.

But I agree that "the base" seems to love her at least as much as they loved Dumb Dan (who as it's turned out, wasn't quite as stupid as he seemed years ago).

Actually I agree. Quayle has a law degree. And right up till he took a step too far ie threw his hat in for consideration for the top job, had never lost one election - and correct if me if I am wrong - always against an incumbent.

I just put him out there as the "potato" example. My bad. Hats off to you. (I don't do icons.)

Well, here's the way I look at it.

Bush fucked our country up.

Obama is fucking our country up even more.

If Palin were to be the next President at least we'd have something nice to look at while she continues the tradition. :dunno:

I love neo-con revisionist history.

Oh no, not this shit again!

We just got rid of one neo-tard, now we have another one to take his place?

Yeah, what did they call him for the longest time? Mr. Potatoe Head, I believe. :D
