Is it just me who missed the message of it been open season on newbies ?
What am I on about ?
This week and even more today there seems to have been lots of posts getting at newbies. I'm talking about the posts telling them off for some little mistake or daft little comment they've made. Which half the people getting at them no doubt did something like it when they too was a newbie on a board somewhere. I know I did :o We used to have a term here 'member modding' and this is what your doing. By trying to make a new member do only what you want him too do.
Newbies are the future of the board. As every board needs new members with different opinions and ideas. This is what keeps the board alive and healthy. The newbie might become the new Jod, Tunsty, LadyLove, DrDeath, even Fox over time.
I'm not saying don't have some light hearted fun. We all do that, I even did this week. But I did compliment him at the end of it for actually managing to post 114 links in one post. Even though I knew they was going to be deleted.
So just take it easy on the newbies they have a right to be here as much as the rest of us!
