Guess they'll have another semi lazy defensemen to go along with Pitkanen. Souray has ok offensive numbers but he's a -27 for his career. If I was an Edmonton fan I wouldn't be very thrilled about the defensive aspect of his game.
Yeah you're right they shouldn't be thrilled about the defensive aspect of his game because he doesn't have one hehe . Only Offense for that guy .

Very good move for them , they missed him a lot the last few seasons . They should try to bring back Aaron ward too .
With Edmonton's inability to keep star players like Weight and Guerin in the past and most recently Smyth it makes me wonder what they would've done if Buffalo didn't match the Vanek offer, how the fuck could they have afforded it?
Anyway, it pisses me off when one team signs an RFA to an offer sheet, the other team always winds up getting fucked over royally while salaries go up around the league due to the bar being set even higher and the team that made the offer doesn't face any repercussions at all. I wanted to kick the shit outta Clarke for offering Kesler that contract last summer, that was fucking greasy, thanks for screwing us by making us greatly overpay a fucking prospect. Dickweed. Then he gets fired as GM and I celebrate, only to see him back as a consultant or some shit like that a few days later.
I was also pissed off that Colorado signed Smyth, I finally get to see the Canucks play games against Edmonton and not have see Smyth, enjoying the freedom of having him in the other conference and now he's right back in our division. Fuck you Avs.

He is the same kind of player as Kovalev ( a vey talented guy with no desire to win and heart at all ) so trust me on this the canadiens are much better off without him .They already have wasted money on Kovalev .
