All I can say about the draft is : Way yo go Pitsburgh !! They are going to have an incredible team with another offensive talent like Esposito . They are now set to go pretty far .

The draft was pretty boring for blockbuster trades , I hope it's going to get better later this month .
I have to agree. That was pretty boring. There was tons of rumors leading up to it and then nothing. I shut it off after the Flyers made their first round pick.
It was over for me right after Montreal made their second selection in the first round .
The problem with picking with Cherepanov was because alot of teams were staying away because there's no agreement with Russia on players coming over to the U.S. I like it to call it The Malkin Clause.

Esposito would have had so much pression in Montreal that it would have never worked for him there . He probably would have ended up like Eric chouinard and have his carreer over after about 4 years . So going to pitsburgh is the best thing that could have happened to him .
Yesterday , the Lightning announced that they offered Marc Denis to the other 29 NHL teams and had no takers . So they will keep him instead of buying him out . I am ever so pissed 
. I tought he would be gone from the roster before the new season begins .

Screw the Sabres and the city of Buffalo. If they're going to low-ball him with crappy offers then they don't deserve to keep him. Chris Drury could be the next one leaving. The fans in Buffalo can take comfort in one thing...you were really good for atleast 2 years.

I was just about to post the link to it. In a perfect world I would have like Drury. I'll take Briere. The money and length of contract is a little nutty but it's Philadelphia. If he can produce playing with a guy like Gagne then I'll learn to live with it.
