He had his last chance and blew it. I love the guy, but he need to start cutting lawn in Hattiesburg full time and leave the Pack alone. He can have a beer anytime with McNair and reminis...

no disagrement that farve blew it. At least the lions have a qb with skills not so true in the rest of the nfc north

Latest LIONS news:
--DE Jared DeVries returns to tornado-ravaged Parkersburg, IA, his hometown. Describes devastation as "indescribable."
--Can hometown boy Drew Stanton be called upon as the QB of the future, when Kitna reaches the end of the rainbow?
--Draft composed mostly of trades. The most promising being DE Cliff Avril from Purdue via Dallas. The Paper Lions needed to shore up their D and they addressed this, but not enough in the secondary.
--Former HC Steve Mariucci ripped GM Matt Millen. Hmm...and Millen was such an exemplary QB, too...
--A fairly weak schedule might help the team in the breaking-in of some of its new talent, but not enough to make a .500 season. :(

..PANTHERS in the Lead; depending on thier season and Delhomme's Status, Cardiac Cats (v. 2.0) Own All in NFC South, and Pwn the way up to Division's; then 'any given Sat/Sun rules' take over..

as long as NFC East/South(whoev's) take home this year (AGAIN) that means the 'Pat Riots' wo'nt;:2 cents: Carolina got franchise back in 94-95 and got to the big dance within 10 years..

i REALLY dont wanna pull resume's on these other so-called clubs that rag on NFC South and Cardiac Cats (Panthers), ill be nice for now:angels: (in pre-pre-season..):hatsoff:

It's depressing that a team can be as bad as they are year after year in the NFL. If I were a fan I wouldn’t have too much hope for this year either.

Redskins

I think everyone could have predicted this to happen. Every year the redskins pick up or trade away young talent for a old player and in this case will probably only play with them a year. I dont understand what they are trying to do. Every offseason "this move will put us over the top". Well not quite. You a avg every year. How bout you start to re-build for the future. If I was a skins fan I would be questioning the front office. KEEP YOUR YOUNG TALENT AND MAYBE YOU COULD ACTUALLY BE AN ABOVE AVG TEAM ONE DAY. DELAYING YOUR PROGRESS BY A SEASON EVERY YEAR WHEN YOU PICK UP AND TRADE AWAY YOUNG GUYS FOR OLD WASHED UP PLAYERS ( in this case not washed up but will only play a year)

Re: Redskins

They are just tryin to duplicate what the Giants did by having Taylor and Carter at the ends, but I just don't think it will work for them. The Redskins are turning into a retirement home, its like all good players (past their prime)come to the Skins just before they retire

That's the Redskins front office for you. Maybe they just figure they suck at the draft so much they won't be loosing anything, but at least even they should be able to pick up mediocre players for much cheaper there.

What they also fail to realize is that the only time a team should add a piece or two to bring them "over the top" is when they are already almost over the time anyhow, and even then it could still be selling out the team’s future. Bringing in people to go from under mediocre to being just a mediocre team is never a good strategy. They just push any good years they might have that much further down the road.

Hey, Donostia, don't say everyone knows. Look what happened last year with the team everyone picked to win the Superbowl.

well jacksonville is betting that two young ends can supply the pass rush missing from last year i'm not so sure that will happen quickly and the offense just lost the wr they where counting on for big numbers trust me a torn hammy dosen't heal in 6 weeks more like 8-10. i like jacksonville's talent just not this year
