it was pretty obvious it was directed at them. And I'd challenge you to find 5 people on this board who wouldn't agree that those two aren't in fact rednecks. Why are you clogging this thread down with drama? It doesn't make me look worse, only you.

Not really, unless context is taken into account. In which case it was pretty obvious that what I said to Mandy clearly indicated that she and I were both in the U. S. I am not clogging this forum with drama. Merely fact. Facts that make me correct.

Vicky Vette. She has been on here a long time and always posts pics. I think some of you forget that when you vote, you jump to anyone that is new. :sheep:

Considering that some of the most nominated and voted girls on this thread (and the previous OCSMOTW 2012) are Miss Hybrid, Mandy Flores, Briana Lee, Lolita Borgia, Maggie Green - and all of them have been on this particular thread all year round, I don't think that it's true that we jump on anyone that's new... At least not when it comes to OCSMOTW.

If we're talking about the big and official Miss FO, then I'll concede that I - on my part - am currently voting for quite a few new girls, within the newcomer category. In a thread started by Siri XXX about a study, there were some very interesting facts. One of which, that the average "career" of girls has gone down from an average of 9 years in the 1970s to an average of 3 years in the 2000s. I like to think that by voting for some of the "newcomers" it's a sign not only of appreciation for the hard work that all of you girls/ladies do, but also an encouragement to continue to stick around. Maybe I'm mistaken in doing so, but I like to believe it's not in vain.

Also, while I do respect each and every OCSM (and other Babe in the Contests), it does not mean that I have to necessarily like them, their statements, attitude, their work or whatever. It's just like in everyday life, some people you like, some you don't. Some you get along with and some not so much. So if there is someone who is not my "cup-of-tea" then I won't vote for them. I have no problem saying who I vote for. Those who I don't vote for, because I don't want to vote for them, I do not mention. If I have a dislike for someone (for whatever reason), I like to keep that to myself and avoid having to interact with that person.

You know what I think is interesting? People can just throw around the word 'redneck' because they hold a different view on things, and somehow that's fine. Irregardless of the fact that obviously it's being used as a slur, and any other slur would rightly bring down the wrath of everyone on the person who used it. But somehow, a slur directed at whites is okay, but directed at any other race isn't? Double-standard anyone?

You wanna know something? I don't really care, beyond the fact of the double-standard. It just shows a lack of civility and intelligence to revert to name-calling over reasonably arguing one's opinions, whatever they may be. In truth, I think there should be the freedom of speech to say these things, with the knowledge that it's out there for everyone to see just how people are and it would very quickly show who really can argue their points and who can't. Then the rest of us can make the judgment of if we wanna hang around these people or not.

In what backwards fucking universe is redneck a slur? It's insulting you'd try to put calling you a redneck on the same level as calling someone a "faggot" or the N-word. That's absolutely absurd to me. if redneck is a slur, You Might wanna call up the Blue Collar Comedy Tour and tell them they're using hate speech.

And if you wanna talk about insulting, YOU said Finland(and most of Europe) were doing some of the same thing NAZI GERMANY did, and that we're backwards and corrupt..which is insane, offensive, and just plain wrong. Pretty sure calling you a redneck is a hell of a lot less offnesive than comparing modern-day Finland to WW2 Germany.

And for the love of Yzerman can you all please stop trying to derail the goddamn thread?

I believe that Mr. Jeff Foxworthy made quite a living off of defining himself a "redneck". Back in the day, while living on the other side of the big pond, I loved watching his Show on PBS. It was hilarious.
"You might be a Redneck if you have a very special baseball cap, just for formal occasions".

Same might also apply for the use of the term "hillbilly".

I somehow believe, the last two decades have put way to much strain on Political Correctness, to the point where it's just become ridiciulous. Where PC has more importance than being able to speak one's true thoughts, without being discriminated for being honest. Or where things meant in a light-hearted way get way overstressed and considered to seriously. Lighten up people, it's 2013, we're on the internet, and on a site regarding the "Adult Entertainment Industry".
