Obama's recovery more impressive than Reagan's

** Well not everybody, just those who are unable to qualify for the 15% tax that money managers pay on earned income... that isn't categorized as "earned income".

And BTW, which party is most in favor of "free trade"? I seem to recall that our pals in the Club for Growth, as well as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the CATO Institute, told us how the free movement of capital would be "good for America". How's that workin' for us? Those are all right leaning, if not GOP surrogate groups.

I'm not a protectionist. And I think that free trade is fine, and necessary in a global economy. But free trade, that is not also fair trade, simply guarantees a victory for those who are willing and able to cheat. And that's been the case going on about 20 years. During the term of Reagan we were blessed with the LBO and junk bonds. We have allowed our once strong manufacturing base to be destroyed, in part because of paper shufflers who have figured out how to use a company's pension fund as the down payment on a no-money-down deal to buy a company, and then raid it for its cash and assets. And if the company goes belly-up, the U.S. taxpayer gets hooked for the pensions that can no longer be paid.

So I'm not so much pro-Obama and I'm most certainly not a Democrat (bifurcation gets incredibly boring after a short while ). I'm just against these bullshit artists who would sell their own mother to make a buck... but wave the flag just enough to keep the sheeple thinking that they are what's right with America. IMO, they're a BIG part of what's wrong with America.

lol the federal government can't even balance the budget and you expect them to put out accurate statistics, I wish I had your faith

The gumment under 0bama doesn't have to balance (or so much reduce) any stinkin budget, as long as the greedy democratic, republican, independent... whoever capitalists have found a clever means of making good returns for themselves in the stock market, and the largely unmotivated and sluggish welfare class of people continue to get taken care of, 0bama is your next potus.

Who friggin cares about our ever compounding debt.... WHO?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dunno:
Live for today and the hell w/ tomorrow.... join me, won't you?

NOT!

Obama's Recovery? Puhleeeze!

http://www.google.com/publicdata/ex...e&idim=state:ST060000&ifdim=state&hl=en&dl=en

Click on the box next to your state, then above the states, click on UNEMPLOYMENT RATE.

The economy is the combination of the public and private sectors. The private sector began to recover in 2009. The recovery slowed in 2010 and again in 2011. But by the end of last year, the private sector was expanding at a healthy 4.5 percent annualized pace. In 2011 overall, government spending declined by 2.1 percent, the most since 1971! In the fourth quarter alone, government spending declined by a phenomenal 7.3 percent. If government spending had remained steady GDP growth would be a perfectly robust 3.7 percent. Unemployment would be coming down, and Obama would be skating to reelection.

Over the last two years, the private sector grew at an average annual rate of 3.2 percent, while the government shrank at an annual rate of 1.4 percent. The combined result has been economic growth of 2.3 percent.

If the Republicans had had their way, government spending would be falling even faster. Plug those numbers into the GDP equation, and the U.S. economy might not be registering any growth at all. Austerity isn't the way to go just ask our friends in the U.K. how that's going for them, they're in a recession right now

I'm glad your moral compass is intact. I think you fail to see the larger picture, though. Take your complaint, for example. You saw something you felt was wrong and took action against it by making a post. Would you suggest that others sit silent when they see something they feel is wrong? One could say that your post is a prime example of what you just lamented above.

I didn't see any lamenting. Actually it was a logical comment.

One might say that you got caught in a hypocritical situation and aren't manning up to admit it. Of course, I wouldn't judge or care enough to say it, but one might.

You probably just made Sam Fisher shit himself in rage. Of course, he lacks the higher brain capacity to translate that rage into an intelligent reply to this, but at least we all know the thought is there when he replies with a link to the NBRA in it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....oh, wait, that wasn't fucking funny at all.

Which of tynar's comments are you referring to? I'll be more than happy to have a discussion about the logic, or lack thereof. Wasn't it you that threw a hell fit because of quoting? If you're not going to be specific then don't bother at all.

One might say that you're still being confrontational just to be an ass. You've obviously still got a problem with me. So what's your beef, big boy?

You...ahh, why waste my breath...

Yes, me, ahh. I'll be more than happy to address anything you've got to say, as well.

Unemployment falls to 8.3%, fifth straight monthly decline
http://www.latimes.com/business/money/la-fi-mo-unemployment-january-report-20120203,0,6620355.story

If unemployment gets down to 8% by election day, it's going to be awfully hard for the GOP candidate to run on the claim that the economy isn't getting better. Here's what Romney is saying about this
http://gop12.thehill.com/2012/01/have-you-got-better-one-laura.html

That employment data, combined with the S&P being at its highest level since 2008 and the NASDAQ at an 11 year high, may cause the right wing Evangelicals to question their faith. :(

On the flip side, as the job market improves, the unemployment rate could pop up by a tenth or two in coming months, as more people re-enter the job market. But from the data released today, that apparently happened last month and the rate STILL went down.

But to those who pretend to be patriotic, yet are hoping for worse economic numbers or make foolish, nonsensical excuses for the improving economic trends, shame on you. If you're more loyal to a political philosophy or a party than you are to the United States of America, maybe you should consider playing and cheering for some other team. Team America doesn't need fair weather fans.

I hope we see gasoline at $5.00 a gallon this summer.

I hope we see unemployment rise this summer.

I hope we see cities burning this summer.

I hope we see race riots this summer.

I hope we see Obama leave office in January 2013.

You're hoping all that happens just to get the black guy out of office eh? :stir:

Only in the minds of the insane does wishing for the failure of their country equate patriotism. The insignificant little nothing calling itself Sam is an embarrassment to humanity.
