Obama is already winning the war against Al-Qaeda

He's not in office. He's not winning anything.

This is an unwinnable "war" these people are willing to make themselves human bombs. You cannot fight someone who doesn't care if they die.

Someone who is willing to die for their cause is more dangerous than any mercenary or solider.

A.Help all the faithful who so desire to sit at the feet of Mohammed in Paradise, to get there asap. This will eventually win your conflict.

B.All (well, most) mercenaries and soldiers are willing to die, dummie...that's a part of the business. The smart military guy stays alive as long as possible to do as much damage as possible, and be there for whatever needs doin'.

I notice that most Islamofascist leaders from low to high don't do homicide bombings...just the most gullible or most desperate. Good job...

Arabs know how to "play" the gullible and foolish, they've been doing it for centuries. They're always playin' the most foolish and gullible here , and even the most obvious lame claim made by the Al Qaeda PR team gets many silly Westerners all Chicken Little, running around discussing what to do..."eeek, they're not gone! Oh, my!!!"
I am embarassed by such credence given to a group of barely effective terrorists.

It would be somebody saying they are going to win the war against evil. It's never going to happen. All you can do is be as vigilant against it as possible.

Absolutely true! What can i say more?! Nothing, of course!

Why call them "fascist"? They are in their country and when you strap on a gun and walk around in another man's country, occupying his country.

Expect some action. :ak47:

I guess a human bomb isn't good enough? :dunno:

You can't fight someone like that.

Thanks, Funkwerkz and D-Rock. :hatsoff:

Sounds like a spin doctor. I support Obama, but his election isn't going to have an impact on the entrenched ideologies of the radical Muslims.

I agree maildude,no one can persuade the radical elements. It's the more moderate parts of the muslim community that Clarke is referring to_Our policys(Bush) have pushed them to more sympathetic to the more radical muslim factions.Hopefully now with the election of Obama(which I do think is a signal to the world of a different approach and that america is not a monolith that supports cowboy imperalism as exemplified by Bush,he has just created more radicals IMO then he has gotten rid of) and more diplomacy we can peel off some of that support for the radicals. Not that military force will not ever be needed but we need to be very prudent about it's use.Iraq as an example IMO has been 100% counter productive to the goal of winning over the moderate factions and is viewed by not only muslims but a majority of the world as an unjustified and indefensible aggresion on our part. Those kind of actions are what makes the world less stable not more.

Yes all is right with the world now. We all have a million dollar bank account, there is no more climate change issues and Shyla Stylez is coming over for a one nighter in about 20 minutes.
