Obama and Sarkozy overheard badmouthing Israeli PM Netanyahu

Gee... What's the fuss? I understand that the media jumps on this, everyone likes to laugh at politicians. But remember, this is just a day in the office for them, With the occasional rumors and dissing of colleagues. Both could be pro Isreal and still dislike Nety on a personal level.
That being said, I don't know why some of you are doing so secretive about everything. Like it's a big conspiracy way over our heads. It's just a combination of self interest and power. There doesn't have to be a conspiracy where there's an convergence of interest.

Is this an admission that Israel/Jews have a huge influence in the American political system and the laws, bills, ect. it passes and the decisions and actions it makes?

I guess so

I guess so

Influence on policy by citizens of the state is a crucial part of any democracy.
So that's nothing special meesterperfect...
(Altough I have to admits the system is skewed towards the wealthy, it always has been like that and probably always will be like that. After all, money is the prime source of power for citizens.)

Conspiracy...
That's probably accurate.
It still doesn't take away the fact that they probably can't stand the guy.
My own and others personal experience when doing business with people of the jewish persuasion has been almost entirely negative.
From working directly for them to working customer service in a Jewish area to being self employed and doing jobs for them.
I can honestly say that with few exceptions in almost every transaction I've had with jewish people, both the Barbara Streisand/Mel Brooks looking rich ones to the religious ones who wear all black they tried to screw me in one form or another.
Very difficult to do business with these people........and almost everybody who's done business with them knows this.
So Obama and Pepe La Pew's comments don't surprise me at all.

Pepe La Jew. :1orglaugh

Well, that's extremely well argued. Keeping up to your usual standards. Excellent.

Try to be more like Meesterperfect.

That is just patently false. President Obama's largest contributors:

University of California $1,648,685
Goldman Sachs $1,013,091
Harvard University $878,164
Microsoft Corp $852,167
Google Inc $814,540

So, even if you're going to (incorrectly) call Goldman Sachs the "Israel lobby" [sic], as I know you are prone to do, you would still be wrong.

That would be donations to his campaign fund. But what about the PACs?

I suspect that Bibi would be more fun at a party.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
Why is everybody dogpiling on Israel for, they're largely a hard working lower middle - middle class society.
Really, get off of your sorry bandwagons, if you insist on taking your aggressions out on the jews, do so against all of those greedy democratic party voting CEO/CFOs in Manhattan... they're a dime a dozen!

Why do people automatically play the anti-Semitism card as soon as Israel or one of its leaders receives criticism? Other than the usual suspect(s), who clearly has no use for Jews, I think most others here have been talking about Netanyahu or the country, not the religion of its people. If a person criticizes the U.S., does that mean he hates Americans? I wouldn't say so. But somehow, some way, if a person criticizes Israel, he must have a portrait of Adolf Hitler hanging above his bed. I don't think I've ever seen a thread about Israel, here or anywhere else, where the dusty, trusty, rusty anti-Semitism card doesn't get played at least once.
