haha yeah, it was hard on the eyes but a cool concept. the game gear musta had a deal with the battery company, i swear.

honestly, im not a fan of this 3d craze in games or movies.

I think the 3D thing is a little gay. I don't want a goddamn full sweat workout while gaming, thank you very much. I want to lounge around and relax with minimal movement. :2 cents::dunno:

And if I recall, I believe that the Virtual Boy was recalled for excessive eye strain and inducing seizures/migraines, was it not? I think it was, but I honestly can't remember and I'm too tired to look it up. :dunno:

yeah, the virtual boy was a flop. i remember when they had the sample system out in blockbuster video. it was totally weird and yeah, hard on the eyes.

I actually got to try out the 3DS at Best Buy yesterday and I like it. I only got to try Pilot Wings but the 3D effect is pretty cool. The only downside was it was bolted down so I had to hunch over it to actually play it

i saw a you tube video of how the AR games work. thats going to be really amazing, esp. since the system comes with a few AR cards

Still not sure what launch game I'm gonna get, I'd say the ball was really dropped on the initial games for the system. It's sad when Lego Star Wars 3 might look like the best one :wtf:

I preordered Street Fighter and Samurai Warrior Chronicles. I'm really looking forward to the samurai game. From the research I did, it looks pretty cool.

I think I'm gonna start off with Pro Evolution Soccer and then get a couple used DS games. I kinda wanna try that new DS RPG Radiant Historia and Scribblenauts

I'm still on the fence because I haven't seen the 3d effect yet in person, I've read speculation on how it works and I'm sure it looks cool but I have a hunch it may give a funny feeling or even dizzyness kind of like the virtuaboy did (yes I know virtuaboy worked on totally different tech). Does it have TV-video out? if so that would boost its usefulness dramatically

I wonder how much the 3D effects suffer from bright daylight. I have a normal DS and I use it a lot on the train and quite often when it's sunny outside I can't see shit on my screen. But by tilting the DS you can somewhat try to avoid sunlight. This would probably completely mess it up for the 3D stuff. :dunno:

oh i hate that! when i had the first model of the gambeboy advances, sunlight was killer on the screen. couldnt see a damn thing.

all the lame games are out right now. Kid Icarus is the big one im waiting for, and that might come out til November earliest from what ive heard. Ive also heard about a Mario Kart, but im not counting on that to come out til next year

Did you already have a DS and look at this as a worthy upgrade?
