This election foreshadows nothing good at all, but only being at the same economic level with a huge debt kinda like Greece and Spain if not more within a year or two. The people who are rejoicing themselves from a socialist victory are the following ones: the assisted healthcare and social security leechers, immigrants who wants everything to be served on a plate, the poor, the people living in worst towns and quarters of France who are unwilling to work and people who are against the success of others. What that does this means? It means that the middle class and the upper class will have to pay and assist the lower class and drag it down with their money because of higher taxes. We will apply the equal distribution of misery and because Mr Hollande is against financial markets it will backfire against us sooner or later. Also granting the vote to foreigners will also make rise communautarianism and a rising islamist danger in France. This choice is nothing good at all, it will only makes things worse. To vote for vote without reasoning is stupid, and this was the result of this election.

Seems that Sarkozy's *real* problem was that he lost the faith of the center. The left was already against him. And then he had to appeal to the extremists on the right... while still trying to retain a sizable portion of the center. But not even the extreme right really backed him. "And officer, that's when the gun went off."

Does this scenario sound familiar to anybody in the U.S.?

Problem is that Bayrou returned his vest like a prostitute and voted for Hollande.

Which totally explains how the economy tanked under Bush/Sarkozy/Conservative Leader #49.

You do understand the concept of cyclical recession don't you and how none of the above had any control over it.

Well georges it looks like Hollande will take France into a nosedive. That will effect not only your country but Europe as well.

Bayrou would have supported Sarkozy if Sarkozy wouldn't have hardened his campaign to try to please those who voted for Marine Le Pen.
Bayrou explained he had no arrangement with Hollande or the Socialists for the upcoming legislatives elections next month.
He's a man who has principles he would never give up. If he had supported Sarkozy, he could have had some arrangment, even maybe a job in the government. But he would have gone back on everything one has stands for.
Actualy, Bayrou's been honest to himself and to everything he stands for.

Not the first time he does things like that. His suporters also support him for that, for being a real free man.

What happened during the recession of 1990-91 was cyclical in nature. The international banking, fiscal and monetary collapses, which sparked what nearly became a global depression in 2007, were not cyclical in nature at all. As for who hand a hand in it, count George W. Bush, Alan Greenspan, the U.S. Congress, the heads of the major banks in the U.S. and Europe and the heads of any number of European governments, et al. Bad policy making, and bad decisions along the way, made what could have been a relatively mild recession and credit event nearly catastrophic.

This wasn't like a random bolt of lightning or an act of God. This one had lots of fingerprints all over it.

You're wrong to only blame Conservatives/Bush/Republicans for it. For every fault they had the Left/Dem/Socialists matched them and were just as culpable. You know that.

Being a leftist myself I'm glad to see a leftist taking power in France. Hollande has called for more government spending and this will put the country on the right path as we now know that austerity has failed

It won't put France on the right path, just look at what did Mitterand during 14 years, just increasing massively our debt by being a nanny state who assisted asyleum right keepers and other foreign unwilling to work leeching parasites who came in France to take only advantage of our social security system, free healthcare and even get appartements before born and bred French citizens. People who vote for him will regert it sooner or later. Now, witha program including welcoming more foreigners in France, it will be the open door to see massive immigration from Africa, the Maghreb and eastern countries, this creating more insecurity. You have clearly no idea how dangerous socialism is.

I knew that already. We will go to suicide with this fucking incompetent moron

Those who can are already sending their money to Switzerland, Luxembourg. Leave it in France and Hollande's plan is to steal it.

So the policies that made the austerity measures necessary in the first place are back? :dunno:

Back to square one, France.

France just fucked themselves!

They voted out Sarkozy and voted in a the uber Socialist, Francois Hollande. They are FUCKED! :1orglaugh
