I don't know enough about Hollande to be able to form an opinion about him. But any guy who can cause that sort of reaction in busty women... couldn't be ALL bad. I now have one, er... actually two (.)V(.) reasons to like him now.

This flag polemic is stupid imo, back in 2002 when Chirac has been elected, a lot of Algerian and Moroccan flags fluttered and Chirac greeted them saying he was glad of winning and didn't care that much...

The real problem is not migration flow it's economy and I must agree there will be a real difficult task for Hollande to apply his politic. It won't be a full socialist politic like back in 1981, now Europe is giving the rules, €€€ has to be preserved of a devaluation and there is no flexibility at all...
Hollande isn't so dumb, he won't put volontary its country into bankruptcy, it will be basically the same austerity politic than Sarkozy but in a more socialist and equitable aspect :2 cents:

No, he is dumb, the Germans and the Spaniards made it very clear, there won't be any renegociation of the pact. What Hollande wants to do is raise social helps and allow more immigrants to touch them, also creating 60000 jobs of teachers without having the funds to do it is going immediately to create more debt. His goal was to allow foreigners with 10 years of residence to vote to local elections, isn't it? Therefore this will create more socialists and more back up for his party.
There will be a cohabitation, I am sure about it. The Germans when they say no, it is a firm no and that is a good thing, because Germans are not here to pay the broken budvases for other countries.
Regarding the equitable and social aspect, forget about it, all social helps and other social extra benefits will always go in priority to immigrants and asyleum rights seekers from former French colonies at it is the case since 1973
