Wow....who would have figured this a few weeks ago?? I'm going with Edmonton. What's your opinion?

I voted Edmonton,but I wouldn´t mind if Carolina wins.
It would be cool if new teams won two seasons in a row.
Besides Rod Brind´amour deserves winning the cup.

Yeah, but so does Chris Pronger.

Unfortunately, "deserve" has got nothing to do with the outcome....should be a good series.

Edmonton. Can't stand Justin Williams and would rather not have to hear all the "Brind'Amour deserves the cup" garbage

icerfan

Nikkala made me do it!

I detect a disgruntled Philadelphia Flyers fan.

In as much as I want Edmonton to win I have a feeling that Carolina will take it in 7

I originally thought the Oil would take it in six games.

Now that Roloson is out for the series, I'd say Carolina in six.

I'm Canadian so I have to go with Edmonton.

I agree that Roloson being out is a killer.....tough way to lose last night for the Oilers....

:( :(

They are broadcasting the Stanley Cup Finals here in the states on...the Outdoor Life Network!?!?!? Thats channel 407 where I live. What happened to NBC? Wtf? I know hockey is bigger than ever in Canada, but I think we are witnessing the death of it in the United States.

It's been that way all year, KFD. NBC was running the quarters and semis on weekends, but OLN takes the broadcast during the week. I seem to recall hearing that NBC is picking up the full package next season. Anybody else know if that's true?

I knew they were on OLN all year, but I was shocked when I went searching through the channels and found that the Finals of the Stanley Cup, the premier event in the NHL, was on OLN!? I think the next couple games might be on NBC, but damn thats a big blow to the league, one has to believe. The report on PTI yesterday was that more people watched the finale of the women's college world series on ESPN, than those that watched the Stanley Cup Finals. That should never happen..NEVER! The NHL just plain needs a better TV contract in the states to survive and thrive again. OLN isn't gonna cut it. :2 cents:

I agree. Most people in the U.S. don't even have OLN, and I had to get it just to watch hockey. I would think that the Finals would be on something like NBC or even ESPN, but they were on OLN.
