Well at least we are seeing good things from Cory Murphy ( 2 goals ) and Stammer tonight ( a very nice breakaway goal ) . I hope they will re-sign Murphy before july 1st because he is a very good puck moving defenceman.

yeah, Cory Murphy is the defenseman most like Dan Boyle when it comes to moving the puck

I read somewhere that lightning might trade St.louis to san jose. that would make the sharks very tough

more rumors. he's also rumored to be heading to New York (Rangers) and to Pittsburgh. i doubt it'll happen because the return from the receiving team would have to be mind boggling. Marty is like Vinny, he's the heart of our franchise.

news on TSN.com:

"Are Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St. Louis off the market? Uber-monger Larry "Bud" Brooks of the New York Post says the Tampa Bay Lightning are spreading that word"

and on a similar note, i'm sure it's just a pipe ***** for me but it'd be AWESOME if we could somehow get Chris Pronger on TB. lord knows we need the defensive help.

Lots of trade rumours these days.

Hab fan favourite, Begin is traded to Dallas for Janik.

For the Laff fans, will Burke trade Kaberle this year?
He'd be stupid if he did.

I know lots of people say trade him - but honestly, they NEED someone with Kaberle's skills right now (good, puckmoving defenceman)... and if not now, in a few years time. All the offense in the world is useless unless you have good D-men supplying the early effort (case in point: look at the Pens and their struggle this year. Or how about the Sens?)

I tell you, good D-men are worth their weight in gold in today's NHL.

cheers,

GOOD GOD what a game! TB beats Calgary 8-6.

Jarome Iginla gets his 400th goal and becomes the all time Calgary point leader. Lecavalier gets his 300th career goal.

Iginla had 5 points as did Recchi

As difficult as it is to type this, the Bruins may not be built for a deep playoff run. I think their lack of size will hurt them come playoff time. during the regular season, the quick forwards can dart around. They won't get as much freedom in the playoffs. The Caps have a solid team, especially with Green on the blue line. Trade deadline is Wednesday. Guerin on the move somewhere in the east. It will be an interesting week

It seems to be a trend between theese two teams , last season they played a game in Tampa that ended with a 9-6 victory by Calgary.

the rumors of Chris Pronger coming to Beantown have gained steam. that would help tremendously. a Chara/Pronger line would be as close to invincible as it gets

and another loss. not a surprise.

anyway, i have a feeling i know who's safe in Tampa as far as the trade deadline goes, but i would **** to see Artyukhin be traded. it's nice to have a freight train on skates who other teams are afraid of. he's fast, hits hard and can create plays surprisingly well. it'd be bad for him to leave

Good win by Columbus, and Vancouver is leading Minnesota...

Hockey life is sweet for me.
