Blue Jackets top the Coyotes 3-0. I love to see the Blue Jackets win, but like I said before, I'm probably the only Canadian that wants the Southern America teams to do good. It really dissapoints me to see Phoenix loose, cause everytime it just seems like a nail in the coffin to me. :dunno: They are in a playoff position right now, but I don't think that even making the playoffs will save them.

Good win by Tampa. They really need to work on their game, though. If they could play like they do in the first period of their games all the time, they would be the team that everyone thought they would be last year.
Let's see how they do against the Canadiens. Hopefully they can turn this season into something respectable.

Montréal 5 - Florida 2
Another hattrick tonight: Maxim Lapierre, our 4th line center, scored his 5, 6 and 7th of the year to help the Habs wins in Florida. Lapierre is playing the better hockey of his career since 2 or 3 weeks: it's nice to see him having the lights as his role is often less flashy.
Guillaume Latendresse, which was a healthy scratch in the past weeks, is still playing with intensity. Not flashy but effective. He could have been the 4th star of the game.
Craig Anderson, one of the hottest goalie in the league since the start of the season, failed miserably tonight and been retired after the 4th Habs goal.

Montreal @ Tampa Bay tonight , man I hope the Bolts win that one. For me its almost like a Nordiques vs Canadiens game , the Lightning have to win. If they play like they have in the last 3 games they have a very good chance I think. Go Bolts GO !
we got a bit complacent against the Panthers at the Times Forum and were lucky to have been able to score enough to win. we'll have to play more like we did against the Penguins to beat the Canadiens. we need to shut their offense down like we did to Crosby and Malkin

when hocky first started the goalies would throw off their gloves and go at it for about 15 minutes before the game begin. Anybody have any thing on that?

Tampa needs a new goalie. Smith is too damn inconcistent in his plays, you can't rely on him. As soon as you think he's playing good, he fucks up. Tampa needs a goalie that can play a whole game, and not just the first two periods. I promise you that, if Tampa had a good goalie, they would be in the middle of the playoff race, if not fighting the Caps for the Southeast title.
Nice to see the Wings play pretty an almost flawless game against the Hawks tonight. Was a very entertaining game to watch.

That was a legit check. Of course, im sad that Tanguay was injured in the event (sounds like a serious shoulder injury, i should get better info this morning on the radio)... but i have to admit that i would love to have a Artyukhin or Lucic in my team. Last time i have witnessed such kind of bodycheck, it was in the '70s when Larry Robinson crashed a Philly player throught the glass.
He had to. After the hit on Tanguay, someone had to step up. A very courageous decision by Kostopoulos: he was aware he was gonna be ****** but did his job. I really admire the courage of Kostopoulos and Begin: those guys are really selfless team-players with a huge heart. Tom conceded 5 inches and 45 pounds to Arty... and he faced him regardless. Kudos.
It was a good game overall. You guys are really lucky to have a player like Artytukhin in the lineup: that guy is a *****, somewhat like Lucic!
I've been impressed by the overall game of Steve Emingler too. That guy is a well-hidden secret in Tampa, right?
My team won but... i think Tampa deserved the win. A very impressive defensive performance by your team guys.
