Mr. Marlo was pissed @ the end of the 1st period!! what a hit on cleary!! that was awesome even though it was one of my teams guy!! cleary was no worse for wear!! I am glad they played a physical, playoff atmosphere type game, tempers were flaring and I enjoyed the little scrums!!
IMO it was ALLOT more exciting than last years game with the Pitts. and buffalo, which IMO looked like a All Star atmosphere game, if I remember correctly the pit. vs. buf. game wasn't very physical @ all??
Although it was nasty in buffalo I liked the snow coming down and the players wearing skull caps during the game, unlike this years game!! and besides I really felt that Detroit should have hosted the game @ COMERICA park in Detroit since we are the Defending Cup winners!! just my opinion!!
I am glad Detroit turned on the intensity and took care of business, and I am really sick of teams running our guys!!! I really, Truly wish Detroit gets smart and picks up a REAL SHERIFF like laraque is in Montreal, Detroit really has nobody to step up and set the other teams straight when they are running our guys!! I don't understand why they don't get a sherrif?? you don't want zetty, pavel, franzen, hossa, holmstrom, lidstrom trying too defend themselves and get injured!! :dunno: I think they should have a genuine hard, badass sheriff in the lineup!!!
All in all Mr. Marlo LOVED the game!! I am certainly glad we got the win, and it was a major message to the blackhawks!! your good, but you CAN'T get with us!!
SCARY note for all you RED WINGS haters!!! Detroit's record is only topped by Boston and San Jose... and Detroit's Defense hasn't even started to clamp down yet!! when they get playoff ready your talkin about a team that will prolly only allow 2 goal against per game, 3 on a bad night!! the RED WINGS have been giving up 3, 4, 5 goals against all season and their record is still amongst the best, and y'all know if the Defense hasn't gelled by the trading deadline Detroit WILL get another Dman too solidify the issue!!!
I am INDEED lovin Detroit's chances again this year!!! last year I was Leary cuz of some of the poor playoffs between 02 and last year!! but they did it, and I am sure they are gonna be inspired by hossa to win it again!! GO RED WINGS!!! :bowdown::nanner::hatsoff:
