Indeed!! Most definitely!! I used too buy VHS tapes loaded with fights!! I prolly have about 30 - 50 hrs worth of fighting on VHS tapes!! hindsight I wasted my money cuz I can watch them for free~ only good thing about spending the all that money years ago is I had the VHS tapes for @least 10 years!!

So Yeah I love my fighting in the OLD NHL~ (relished memories) :nanner:

Pretty soon all they will be is sweet memories cuz SCARY BETTMAN is destroying the NHL!! :cussing:

It was a beating.

You probably hate the comments that Cherry made about Kostits and what he did to Schenn. If you saw the replay, I think you'd agree that this commie/euro trash should have his leg broken with a hockey stick.

Any rumors in Tampa about who might take the head coach position?

Personnally, i could see a player's coach like Ted Nolan - it would be paradise after Torture-ella years (and the soon-to-be-forgotten Melrose).

I like also the Dave Andreychuk suggestion. But i would go with Nolan.

according to Brian Lawton (General Manager), currently Rick Tocchet has an open ended schedule. there is no time limit for him to prove he's the man for the job and they're not looking for a permanent new coach.

Tocchet's first game as head coach looked awesome, and considering he had just one practice day to prepare for it, i can't wait to see what happens in the future. judging by that first game, i think he'll do fine

I thought he was there only by interim.

If he is there for good, that's not a bad decision. The guy have a lot of experience as assistant coach and as a player. I hope he can do as well as other former players turning into coachs.

I really liked him when he was playing :)

apparently they're willing to give him a shot at being the head coach for a while. an excellent idea, i think. he doesn't appear to freak out like Tortorella and does appear to know what this team needs unlike Barry Melrose.

we dominated the 3rd period against Carolina. staying active in the 3rd is something we've struggled with for a while. he did it by having very short shifts during the game. no more than about 30-35 seconds per shift. that and he reunited the MVP line. Melrose actually put Lecavalier on line 2 and St. Louis and Prospal on line 3 during his last game as coach!

wow. Jason Arnott was sent FLYING into the net during tonights Sharks/Predators game. he was taken off the ice on a stretcher and sent to an area hospoital. luckily, the word is that he's alert and does have movement in all extremities.

Anybody willing to bet to see how long he lasts?

It won't be an easy task to turn things upside down at Tampa, for sure. A bad start, a bad preparation (training camp) and maybe a bad system of play (Barry Melrose's) cannot be override in a day ... :dunno:

But any coach counting on a franchise player like Lecavalier should looks good.

Tocchet could be a good coach , he started well by giving Vincent Lecavalier more ice time ( 21 minutes + ) and Stamkos as well ( almost 16 minutes ) . The only weird thing he did was to leave Steven Stamkos in a line with Recchi and Roberts . I think they should have a good look at Tocchet as head coach because he could have the same succes as Guy Carboneau since they pretty much have the same background : they both were good players with a great work ethic and a lot of gutts. Also they are both well respected by current NHL players.

damn TB game isn't on television tonight.

any way, line 1 will consist of Lecavalier, Stamkos and St. Louis for today. THAT will be interesting

Carolina's Hurricanes vs Montréal's Canadien

We always had problems against Carolina: Erik Cole used to play his best games against us. He is no longer there. Yay! :D

ok. it was 3-0 Florida earlier and it's now 3-3. TB has outshot Florida 49-32. we're definately on our way to better days.

5 defeats at our last 7 games. Habs are slumping big time. Our power play which used to be dominant is above average this year. I know that without Mark Streit we couldn't be again as much dominant but - i can't beleive when Koivu, Tanguay, Kovalev, Lang and Markov are on the ice, they can't be better than that :(

Komisarek missed some games. Hamrlik too. Our depth a defense isnt great - our youngsters arent NHL ready yet.

Team toughness? Nobody know what that means in our team. They are all waiting for big George to do all the dirty job... Oh boy...

Bah... enough ramblings.

We play tomorrow and saturday night - let's hope things will turn around :(
