The Bruins couldn't be playing any less inspired. They better figure something out quick.

It's way early. All they have to do is make the playoffs and I think that's a dead-cinch lock in the inferior East for the Bruins.

Moving to a trailer in Fife, AL.
This is the Bruins. They will get Montreal in the second round and the ghosts will make their annual visit. How many posts did the Bs hit last year? 14? 15? They look better tonight, but they need to sustain it.

Boston should make that trade yesterday. Marchand is chippy and productive, but he tends to cause more problems than he solves. Marleau is a better player.

Chicago is right there with LA, as is Anaheim.

I'm a Penguins fan. What concerns me about my team is the playoff performance of Mark Andre Fleury, depth at wing and production from the D. Look at a team like Chicago and Duncan Keith. His abilities in both zones make Chicago so dangerous.

I'm meh on the Wild at the moment. Truth told we should be 4-1 or even 5-0 after the first 5 games. Those tight 1 goal games against elite teams have to be won. That said, I believe Quick had close to 50 saves when the Kings beat us, so I guess I can live with it. Our PP is no 0-17 or something. Shots allowed on goal are very low (hence why Kuemper has three shut out out of four chances) and our shot totals have been pleasantly surprising.

All and all I guess I can live with it. Suter still a boss; Parise is a machine; Pommer has been good, with Brodin and Spurgeon standing out on the back. 4 goals in the first period tonight - some of the ugliest, trashiest goals I've ever seen a goalie give up, but eh, we'll take it.

A little payback against the Hawks tonight as the Blues hold on at Scottrade, 3-2. Not very often Chicago loses two games in a row. I hope someone makes it three.

The line of Steen-Lehtera-Tarasenko single-handedly enabled the Blues to defeat the Stars 4-3 in OT in Dallas last night. Steen had 1 assist and 7 SOG, Lehtera a goal and 2 assists and Tarasenko had the hat trick and an assist along with 6 SOG. Tarasenko is really blossoming into a major goal-scorer and he meshes perfectly with his linemates. If we can ever get Oshie, Backes and the rest of the mainstays up and running we might be a dangerous team once again. We'll see how we do against the high-flyin' Ducks on Thursday night.

Kudos to the Stars as well. They are really a vastly-improved team over a year ago. They'll be a force to be reckoned with in the West this year.

I hate to keep going on about Vladimir Tarasenko (not really!) but this goal tonight against the Rangers was just sick. This kid is a budding superstar. Speed, smarts and a laser-beam shot that has him marked for greatness. To add an exclamation point, he also scored in the shootout to give the Blues their 5th straight win. Best natural goal-scorer we've had since Brett Hull.

Tarasenko strikes again....Jake Allen pitches a shutout....Blues win their 6th straight against the Devils on the road, 1-0. Team is on a serious roll right now and I'm digging the shit out of it. I'll shut up when we go on a losing streak. Until then, deal with it. ;) :D

I'll be at the Madhouse tomorrow night with my slam piece for Hawks and Caps. With any luck, they'll win, and I'll get laid afterward. Beer, hockey, and sex. Not sure what could be improved upon there...

Also must chug a beer after every goal before Chelsea's Dagger is finish playing.

back to back wins for the Islanders out west against ANA and LA, impressive. The schedule gets a bit easier next few games and hopefully they take advantage of it. The Metro division doesn't look too good at this moment so its wide open for the playoff spots, no real dominant team yet

Tarasenko strikes again as Blues win 7th straight against Devils at home. Key game against Nashville on Saturday with Elliott back between the pipes at Scottrade.

Hoping you having a great time Ace Bandage as it is 3-2 Capitols after 2 periods.

Just seen the Bulls holding off the 76ers and now listening on WGN radio this game. Two beers slammed so far for Chelsea's Dagger hopefully on the Saad and Kieth goals.

3rd period about to start. Go Hawks and hold on Crawford.

Caps win 3-2 as the Hawks had some good chances in the end to tie the game.

3rd loss in a row for the Hawks at the UC.

Typical. I go to Chicago to watch one of my teams, and they lose. 0-2 for my last two Hawks games. And I think it's been over 8 years since I've seen a win at Wrigley. I need to follow better teams.

And blowing a 2-goal lead in the process? Very un-Hawklike. They are usually like a dog with a bone when they lead at home. This bears watching.

Jagger, Lehtara with a hat trick tonight.

Caught this game in the 3rd with 14 minutes left and seen the Sabre lone goal, then the Blues 3 goals see you.
