Chara's team is stacked. The hometown captain is at a disadvantage. Not only did he not get 1st pick, but he's pretty much obligated to pick his hometown teammates while Chara is taking Datsyuk, Malkin, Kessel, Hossa, Kane, etc. Plus, Chara got the chemistry guys. Datsyuk/Malkin. Kessel/Lupul/Phaneuf. It's going to be a blowout.

Look at this ****:

I don't care what anybody says I'd rock the **** out of that. I remember about a decade ago those Fisherman Center Ices were on clearance on River City for like $40.00. Now everyone wants that throwback.

They aren't really as bad as everyone says, in my opinion. There's no way in hell the Islanders logo should be replaced by anything, but it could have been a decent idea for a third jersey. The current third jerseys are much worse and when they were first ****** I was hoping the Islanders would bring Mr. Fishsticks back instead.

The All Star Fantasy draft thingy really came off as a disaster to me. I didn't like it at all and it seemed quite a few of the players weren't having such a good time either. Put an end to it, Buttman.

I **** the all-star game, I **** all-star weekend etc.. a bunch of ****** time, play the all-star game after the Stanley Cup Finals like they do in the NFL.. the reason I **** the A.S. weekend / game is it has no meaning/ there's no passion/ no hitting/ no intensity etc... if the NHL adapted the MLB policy where the winning side gets either a monetary bonus or some advantage over the losing team that would somehow benefit there team or conference when it comes to the playoffs or something, this way, the game might mean something too each conferecne and give each team in the game some kind of incentive to win the all-star game. :dunno:

Hockey without all of the ingredients I described above is just boring and I have NO interest in watching it, I have never watched an NHL all-star game in my life, nor have I ever watched a NBA or a NFL all-star game. I just don't care for meaningless games where players go through the motions to entertain / pacify the fans, it's just not my cup of tea. :2 cents:

I see where you're coming from, but I love it. I love the draft, skills comp. and game. I get to watch 82 games worth of slug it out hockey + an undetermined amount of bruising do or die playoff games. It's cool to see these guys off the ice and outside their comfort zones at the draft and then put on a show at the skills competition. Then the game is 60+minutes of the world's absolute best players having fun and showing off, which is awesome for me because I love the absolutely ridiculous skill on some of these guys (Datsyuk, anyone?). It's only one week of the year, so it's not like it's a total drawn out pain in the ass. I guess it might have something to do with watching the game with my ***, ******* and ****** when I was a ***, and I'm still relatively young, so maybe I'll grow out of it.

I am not a big fan of the All Star draft, can't they just go back to the East vs. West, that's why I just watch the skills competition instead of the offical game.

I here where your coming from, alot of people love the all-star game and all of its other planned activities, I don't blame anybody for watching all of the all-star events I can see where people/fans apreciate the specatcle/event. and your right, its just one weekend, which I still **** to miss NHL games, but its part of the season I suppose, atleast its not 2 weeks for the olympic's, I liked the olympic's a bit, but I still hated it not being NHL and seeing teammates having to play for there countries and against there NHL teammates. :2 cents:

my problem with the allstar game is the "popularity contest" side of the voting. whichever city is hosting, is pretty much guaranteed to have at least 6 players in... and crosby was 4th among top votes, and he played how many games this year? meh. i still like the skills competitions though

I kind of want to see them going back to the North America Vs. The World format.

Dear God, Chara puts a 108 on the board. Shatters the records.

So long, Al Iafrate.

Looks like all the players are chewing dip. Reminds me of me. Also looks like they are all having fun.

^ I'm gonna give the edge to that behind the back Tavares dangle. Absolutely sick mitts. Also, indeed, big Z can bring it.
