Minnesota is really coming back down to Earth.

2 nights in a row I have people over to watch the Wings, and both times they lose. Calgary?? C'mon man.

I fucking love HBO's 24/7 series. Been watching 24/7 Rangers-Flyers and they make everything seem so epic plus they play some really good music. I wish they would've had 24/7 for when the Hawks played in the Winter Classic

Ahh don't sweat it dude the Red Wings will be fine, allot of the teams that were playing above themselves seem too be coming back down to earth sort of speak... back to the important part, I was getting pissed that the Red Wings are pretty streaky so far this season, but they still have lots of head to heads with the Blackhawks and Blues etc... I am not too worried about them. they are among the teams with the most wins and they have about as many loses as some of the other top teams. I think they'll be alright. Well Happy Holidays everybody, before you know it, it will be February/march and the playoffs will be right around the corner. :nanner:

Minnesota is really coming back down to Earth.

And the Canucks are starting to play like the Canucks. It's the most wonderful time of the year.

Again Bryzgalaf in episode two, I love how Jager got up from the table he was sitting at to get away from him.

Most folks are talking about RNH or Taylor Hall when it comes to the Oilers but I've got to say that Jordan Eberle is the guy to watch. When the Oilers get rid of some of their deadweight they'll be a team to watch out for.

Bruins trounce Florida 8-0 this year's Bruins team is a lot faster and higher scoring than last year's Cup winning team.

I wonder if Edmonton is going to be able to keep all of those guys. Hall, Eberle and Nugent-Hopkins are all going to want massive contracts, and depending on how he develops Paajarvi will get one too. I doubt the Oilers will hold on to all of them in the long run.

Why would I yell? I know all this. This is how the organization functions. We develop great players and they become valuable and go elsewhere. However, this time around may be different; this is a team that has the pieces in place to contend within the next five years. We're in the same position that the Penguins and Blackhawks were when they were loading up on talent and then became contenders and won a Stanley Cup (after long stretches of mediocrity in both cases). The young players that we have (and some of the veterans) can see that happening here and want to be a part of it, so they may very well stay once they do become valuable commodities. There's no reason why we can't sign Hall, Eberle, and the Nuge once their entry-level contracts expire.

As for Pääjärvi, he's been sent down to the AHL for a reason: he can't play the North American game. He's a skilled player, but only within the structure of the European style of hockey. He has been lousy ever since he entered the NHL.

What the organization should do sometime before the trade deadline is trade Ales Hemsky (because he doesn't fit into our plans or team dynamic anymore) and maybe some other guys (Tom Gilbert, Sam Gagner, Pääjärvi) to try to acquire some really solid defensive defencemen because that's what we're lacking right now. I still think this team can make the playoffs this season if some things fall into place for us.

Weber just got a concussion too. Superstars are falling like dominoes.

The Eric Lindros syndrome.

Old players had to have had many - more than today's players because of the equipment but they were not forced to go sit in a damn bed.

his first pro goal was absolutely SICK... and the Bruins are freaking dominating. I didn't think they'd have a shot to go back to back, but how can you rule it out at this point? Of course, being a Bruins fan, and thus a pessimist, I never thought they'd win it in the 1st place... :)

I've said it before and I'll say it again: non-Canada games at the World Juniors are much more exciting and enjoyable to watch than a Canada game. I'd much rather watch Russia-Slovakia than Canada-Czech Republic.

Man, the Bruins are good. Even when they get outplayed, their goalies are there to clean things up and vice versa. And what's scary is, they have Seguin and Rask to carry them into the future.
