Biggest move of the day (*yawn*):
Dustin Penner from the Oilers to the Kings for Colten Teubert, a 2011 first-round pick, and a conditional 2012 third-round pick (becomes a second-round pick should the Kings win the Stanley Cup this year). My assessment: well, since a bag of pucks would've been fair value for Penner, I am ecstatic about this deal. Another prospect and more picks, lovely. Good riddance to the fat cheeseburger-eating POS that is Dustin Penner. You will not be missed.

Goaltending?
Pretty much a snoozer for a trade day, eh? I was hoping the Wild would move Theodore for some offence, but of course those cheap bastards chose not to. Don't expect much out of this club down the strech.
Our biggest forward. Our highest goal scorer. For a bust of a dman, and a pick in this years weak draft at 20-25. Not good. I know DP is lazy as hell but he has hands.
Huh Dwayne Roloson ? Won against the devils and Rangers 2-1 ? I think our goaltending is in good hands.
he's won 12 of 19 since coming to Tampa and has 4 shutouts in that time too.

Philadelphia is the team to beat in the East. Everyone else is just an afterthought. :2 cents:
Yeah, he has hands... hands of stone. Penner has one thing: size, with no clue how to use it. The Kings gave up WAY TOO MUCH in this deal. They are dumb as a sack of nails for this deal. A 2008 first-rounder who's no bust (not yet, anyway), a first-rounder in the upcoming draft (where the Oilers will probably have another #1 pick again this year), and a third-rounder. That's the type of package that NHL superstars get. We got FAR less for Ryan Smyth, who is 4385634598463 times the player and leader Penner is or ever could be.
Not to mention that we freed up $4.25 million in cap space that we can use this offseason to make a splashy move, which is what I think Tambellini's plan is. Oh man, it is so nice to have a GM with a plan for once. Tambellini is awesome, Kevin Lowe was/is the worst. More prospects, more draft picks, awesome. Losing a fat, slow, dumb, vastly overpaid player, awesome. I've watched Penner and cringed far more often than I've watched him and been happy with his play since we signed him.

If you don't KNOW that Roloson is 100% capable of single-handedly (pretty much, Pronger helped too) carrying a team through the playoffs, then you must not have watched the playoffs in 2006. I'd say his chances of standing on his head and taking the Lightning deep in the playoffs is as good as 50-50. (I still think the Flyers have booked a Stanley Cup Finals appearance, but I can see the Lightning meeting them in the Eastern Conference Finals).

Sorry, but it is not going to happen. The Lightning only have one more GF than they do GA this season. Lightning would win the first round, but put them up against Boston or Pittsburgh and their ticket to the golf course is punched.
