Quinn is out, Renney is in.

the Lightning are doing something under Steve Yzerman that they haven't done under the past couple of GMs, keeping quiet. you know they're working on things but we've heard nothing. it's a nice change of pace.
Nabokov is washed up, proven by both his olympic and playoff performance.
4 seasons in a row with 40+ wins. i wouldn't call that washed up.
also, Kurtis Foster has apparently expressed interest in re-signing with the Lightning. hopefully we'll offer him a contract that's satisfactory to him.

All he does is choke on the big stage.
Hall of Fame Class of 2010 has been announced. I have to agree with what Wyshynski writes here; Ciccarelli has been deserving for a long time, but the exclusions this year are egregious:

Ever since that 13-game losing streak (or whatever it was) I've been wondering if the Oilers were going to fire him. Kind of dissapointed that Quinn never seemed to gel in Edmonton; he was a great coach in Vancouver and Toronto. I don't think Renney will be much of an improvement, given his past with the Rangers. Fairly decent seasons followed by playoff futility.
absolutely Ciccarelli and 2 chicks...great class NHL.
One of the greatest winners of his generation, Scott Niedermayer, has retired. If a defenceman with a massive ego were to write out a list of goals they'd like to accomplish they probably wouldn't even include all of the things that Niedermayer did accomplish. The guy has received every honour that could possibly be bestowed on a defenceman and will go down as one of the top five greatest defencemen of all time. He didn't have his best season with the Ducks this past year, but he does go out on a high note anyway, having won an Olympic gold (his second!) in his home province of B.C. I, and the NHL, will miss seeing him man the point as well as any defenceman ever has.
