this was a monumental win for the Lightning tonight over the Capitals.

My Rangers played a hell of a game against the Devils last night. Rangers have been playing better hockey the last month and to host one of the best teams in the league and take em' scoreless into a shootout makes me proud.

since Smitty was run over in net (again) and injured because of it (again) The Lightning have recalled G Dustin Tokarski from Norfolk. He is expected to back up tonight. Will be his first NHL regular season action.

we really need our defense to be physical around our nets.

It's a league wide problem , refs allow players to hit and run over goalies as they please. One day a goaltender is really going to get hurt badly.

and we still can't figure out how to beat teams we should have no problem dispatching. New Jersey? sure! Boston. got it!. Washington? done!. Florida? oh shucks.

the shots are 20 - 8 Lightning over the Panthers in the 1st period and we're losing 3-2.

Tampa will never be a good team again until they can play consistently. how do we beat New Jersey, Boston and Washington and then play like a pee wee team in other games? we can't even win 3 games in a row.

we especially can't be bad teams, particularly the ones in our conference that we really need to beat

After 1 period the Bolts are trailing 3-2 even though they outshot florida 20-8. Niittymaki has been awful in goals lately and since Mike Smith isn't available I think Tampa is in trouble. If I was Tocchet , I would go with Dustin Tokarski to start the second period.
