NFL '10/'11 Season Thread.

I wouldn't mind San Fran trading one of their 1st rounders and something else for the chance to take Suh.

Joey Porter reportedly wants out of Miami and would like to play for a 3-4 team on the west coast. He specifically named San Fran, Arizona and San Diego. San Fran needs to jump on this. Or sign Merriman. I believe he is a free agent. Porter had 9 sacks in a diminished role with Miami last season. A diminished role.

I think Merriman os overrated without his juice!

Ya I think he is too. But San Fran has nothing when it comes to a pass rush. We need something.

Yes I refer to myself as part of the team, much to the chagrin of certain members of the board.

If Crabtree pans out...the 9ers are poised to challenge the Saints. So, yeah, they should make a deal or sign some free agents. They're close. I think Romeo Romo stinks, so I don't put the Cowboys in the top echelon. The 9ers could get there next year...:dunno: I could see Porter there before Merriman for some reason.

We have Alex Smith at QB though. The Saints have Drew Brees. :( I'd take Romo's left nut over Smith. But unfortunately he's here to stay for at least another season. Singletary wants to run a smash mouth kind of game, but Smith is tailored to the spread offense, and actually had some success last year after we figured out we couldn't run the ball. I have high hopes. I think the division is there for the taking next year with Warners retirement. The 9ers swept Arizona handily last season and had some tough losses at Minnesota, Indy, Seattle, Houston and Tennessee. It could easily have been an 11-12 win year if our offense could give our D a break.

Apparently Josh Cribbs is on San Frans wish list this offseason too. I've heard he's close to signing with Cleveland though. Maybe Baill knows what's going on over by the lake.

Funny the talk now is the rams are looking hard at Sam Bradford for the 1st pick. i betcha the Lions and Bucs are both Pulling for that. i'm not sure that Porter or Merriman can play for Singletary i think thier ego's are to big to be coached by a HOF

Sweet. Atlanta, and Chicago both improve. Just what I need.

Detroit got Vanden Bosch and Burleson. Can't double team Megatron no more. He is going to tear some **** up.

Glad my Panthers finally realized that Matt Moore should be the starting QB.
They finally got rid of Peppers too. Good riddance. I tired of him.

What the hell is Cribbs thinking. I guess he dosent like to win.

Jets now have two great CBs, damn it.

The Cardinals lose Warner, Dansby, Rolle, and Boldin in one off-season. Holy ****. San Fran is a winner this off season and they haven't even added anybody. If the 9ers don't win the division next year, I'm becoming an Oakland fan.

Ther Bears signed both Julius Peppers and Chester Taylor on the same day? Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!

You just ****** alot of money then.
Peppers takes plays off, if he played hard every play that guy could be the great DE ever.

Chester is a good signing for da Bears though.

I don't like the Taylor signing for the bears. They could have got someone cheaper and better even without their 1st and 2nd rounders. Joe McKnight comes to mind.

With resurgent Sims, not a bad D on paper. Hope Burleson is not on the back side of the career, hoping for at least a solid # 2-3 receiver

You still have Bryant, and that TE, who I'm sure will be 100% improved with another year under Stafford. Do you ever go to games??

I have season tickets, shame, but a life long Lions fan. Bryants has not proved to be a great # 2, but Pettigrew might turn out a star down the road.

i think the bears really improved, the veterans are much surer than even a first round pick.i think chester taylor has a lot left and will help both forte and the passing game with his presence in the line up.
