I can't believe the Lakers just lost to the Orlando Magic. I don't think the Lakers are going to make the championship this year. They have too many problems. Looks like it's going to be the Thunder,Grizzlies or Spurs in the final.

Yeah that Nelson move would have been official if he had hit the shot, but in Paul's defense, it really wasn't a crossover anyways, just a quick fake to the right that had Paul crumbling like a house of cards...I think its just the way he fell and laid flat on his back looking up at the sky that made it so bad...When I was watching the game, I was scared he wasn't going to get up for a second , but when I saw he was alright, I laughed my ass off !

But check out Jameer at No.4 on this vid...this crossover was so crucial it put Pargo to sleep ...and when he woke up, he was in a highlight video !

I like the pelicans name. No different than Blue Jays, Orioles, Cardinals, etc Pretty cool,imo. Although, something music oriented would be more fitting imo. Someone mentioned Blues before.

The fans down there in the French Quarter (Bourbon St.?) are referred to as Krewe. Someone said that on another forum and I don't like that. I don't mind Pelicans at all really but I see this as a money grab from the start; they should have left Hornets name in the past if they were going to change in less than a decade.

I don't like Blues as of course that the St. Louis name. They should just name them 'The Bourbons' for Bourbon st. lol Or what about Hurricane Katrinas? bwwahaha.

Pelicans is a fitting name i think. The pelucan is the state bird of LA, and its not exactly one of the nicest birds. Its a good name, tho i would like to see the Jazz sell the name to the Hornets, as there is no jazz scene in Utah.
