Joe Johnson getting a max deal is ridiculous. But others like Amare are gonna get one, and guys like Rashard already have one. Now, I'm not saying he deserves it, but it's not as if he's any worse than these guys.

Raptors sign Amir Johnson.

Suns sign Hakim Warrick, signaling the end of the Amare era. I like this signing. Warrick is a solid player, without the baggage Amare brings to the courts. And better defensively.

Pierce resigns with Boston. No surprise there.

Knicks and Amare are working on a 5 year contract according to Yahoo.

The Chris Paul trade demand might have been www.sportingnews.com but I don't feel like searching through there. Apparently he's spoken to William Wesley about wanting a trade and Wesley is relaying that message to GM's that want to team him with Lebron. I've also heard Jameer Nelson and other pieces being swapped for CP3.

Who knows what's real though? Not me. I am just a messenger.

Lakers have a verbal agreement with PG Steve Blake on a 4 year deal. Blake won't be able to sign until the 8th I believe.

I like this. A lot. Blake is a PG who isn't great at anything, but he's good at everything. He'll be great coming off the bench with Odom.

Now if we can sign Mike Miller, get Fisher back at a discount and sign our two rookies, we can work on that 3 peat.

I would have rather locked up Fisher than get Blake.

Amare is going to do nothing without an elite PG. Knivks will need at least two more good free agents to make it to the playoffs.

I'm glad Pierce is still with Boston. I hate them and I hate him.

Hakim is a hell of an athlete and a good defender. With an elite PG and fast paced offense, his ppg, rpg and minutes should all go up.

Amar'e Stoudemire picks Big Apple, agrees to Knicks' offer

NEW YORK (AP) — Amar'e Stoudemire (FSY) is headed to the New York Knicks, and both sides are hoping he's not coming alone.

The Knicks said Monday they intend to sign Stoudemire to a contract later this week when the free agent moratorium period ends. Stoudemire's agent, Happy Walters, said the deal is for the maximum allowed, which would be nearly $100 million over five years.

Wearing a blue Knicks hat, Stoudemire said he looked forward to rebuilding a franchise and bringing the Knicks back to the top — maybe with a player such as LeBron James (FSY) or Dwyane Wade (FSY) with him.

The Knicks are desperate to walk away with something. I don't think Stoudemire is worth a maximum contract, but hey, if the Knicks want to overpay...

Rudy Gay, Joe Johnson and Amare Stoudamire all get max contracts. What a joke. Who's next? Brian Scalabrine??

I don't get why people would want to go to New York. It didn't work out for John Lennon.

Orlando signed Chris Duhon to play the backup point guard for the Magic.

Wade & Bosh teaming up in miami not sure if Lebron joining them??

Miami doesnt have enough cap space to sign Lebron. They would have to move Beasley's contract I think. If Lebron doesn't choose Chicago, I hope he returns to Cleveland so that the power is balanced in the Eastern Conference.

ESPN the Magazine's Chris Broussard said Bosh and Wade are expected to announce their decision today. It isnt known how Bosh would sign with the Heat ether with a sign-and-trade or sign him outright but either way a source said he is coming to Miami

Even if they do move Beasley and sign Lebron, that's still almost $70 million in 3 players. Is everybody else going to play for free?

If they move Beasley, that will leave them with only Mario Chalmers under contract unless they get some players in return. They drafted three players in the draft so they most likely will be added to the roster. Then they'll have to fill out the roster by signing some players with the mid-level exception I guess?

I don't think Bosh is going to be part of a sign-and-trade. The Raptors (hopefully) aren't going to roll over for him and give him an extra thirty million when we get nothing we want in return.

Carlos Boozer commits to the Bulls for 5 years/$80 million and he's going to reach out to Lebron to see if they can play together in Chicago. Come on Lebron!

I don't know why he would go to the Knicks. You can't tell me that their roster is better than the Bulls roster. The Bulls can offer Rose, Noah, Deng, and Gibson. The Knicks have Galinari and Wilson Chandler?
