Nature Boy Ric Flair asked my mom to dance with him years ago.

She said he was a gentleman. I would have loved it if after they danced he would have let out a WOOOOOOO!!! What could have been, what could have been.

I would have loved it if he had became my step dad. I think my real dad would have approved too.

Maybe Flair as a step dad or crazy uncle but your real dad is probably a much better dad. Be embarrassing having a father stumble home drunk off Kamakazi's after he shut down the Marriott with Linda Ronstadt on one arm and Dinah Shore on the other.

Hey Blue, can you imagine having Ole Anderson as your father?

"How many times do I gotta tell you to go fuck yourself?!?"

I wish I could find old clips of the matches they used to tape at WTBS studios in Atlanta. I was in the audience for a taping that featured Rowdy Roddy Piper and Greg The Hammer Valentine. I remember being glad that I wasn't sitting on the front row because Piper would turn to the audience and blow snot out of his nose on people.

I witnessed Summer Slam back in the Nineties once. There were some really great guys around, but on the whole, I rather would not have a wrestler as my stepdad. But that excludes Ric Flair and Bret Hart.

That's great. As a fan of Georgia Championship Wrestling and Mid-Atlantic I'm jealous. That TV taping musta been 1983. I used to belong to a board called CrazyMax and found a guy I got some great quality DVDs of the 2 hour Saturday WTBS World Championship Wrestling show. I like the period of the start of the Four Horsemen when Ole Anderson first attacked Thunderbolt Patterson. Then Ole and Arn went after Manny Fernandez. I also enjoyed the Jimmy Valiant/Paul Jones Army feud especially liking to see everybody turn on the Boogie-Woogie Man.

I'm eventually going to get WWE Network to watch the footage they now own.

Moving to a trailer in Fife, AL.
Saw Flair wrestle in Charlotte, and he was awesome. Always the showman.

Yep, it was circa 1983 I was about 16 or 17. The next year we went to see a match at The Omni where Tito Santana and Andre The Giant wrestled. Andre came walking right up the aisle and shook my hand on the way to the ring.

You grew up in a great place to be a wrestling fan. I would have loved to go to one of those Saturday Night cards at The Omni. I was a massive NWA mark and liked the territories and affiliates. I would run to the magazine stand to find out what the heck Kevin Sullivan was pulling in Florida too. Sullivan might be my favorite heel ever.

About 1985 I went to see Magnum T.A. wrestle at a smaller venue but the real reason I went was to get a glimpse of his sexy trailer trash squeeze Baby Doll.

She may be the first time I realized what a PAWG was.

That was back in the day when Baby Doll and Wendy Richter were considered hot wrestling divas. I promise I never pulled it to Leilani Kai or Candi Divine.

Dude, ever seen this? You'll kill a buncha time and laugh your ass off. If a story is good enough who cares if it's true?
