I have Firefox, but I generally use Safari. No particular reason why. I only switch over if the site I'm using says Safari is an unsupported browser.

I've recently tried Firefox as well. So far I'm not overly impressed. Sure it's nice with extensions and such, but I find that I prefer IE for general use.

^I would not want to disagree with a Mod - but i disagree:D. I love the fact that you can 'pause' downloads also - quite a useful feature:thumbsup:

I'm not sure about pausing downloads, but I've found it useful to be able to download a lot of pictures from a thumbnail gallery with a Firefox extension. Seems like all the sites I join don't offer zip downloads for their sets.

But when I'm here on Freeones, then I use IE. The board just looks weird to me when using Firefox, and some other little differences seem to sligtly annoy me.

^I was just kidding earlier Aegis:bowdown:. Yes, it's different strokes etc...I am using FF browsing FreeOnes and it's absolutely fine, no probs whatsoever. The other useful feature - amongst many - is that if your pc crashes and you fire up FF, there is an option to restart your complete previous browser session(s) - and it worked :)

Firefox is a lot more secure and stable than any version of IE. You are much less likely to sustain a malware ****** because malware writers target IE and in any case Firefox has fewer vulnerabilities.
Also the range of add ons is amazing.I like the Fuller Screen and AutoSlideshow very much. There is IE tab which lets you visit a site as if you were using IE and McAfee Site Advisor which detects dodgy sites before you visit them.

^hmmm...whether FF is more secure and less vulnerable to malware/virus attacks is probably open to question; that i'm not sure about. i would still be inclined to be 'on guard' with regards to malware/spyware/viruses etc. but i do find the browsing experience far more fluid with FF... :)

Even though I really like the default Mac browser Safari for its integration with the Mac OSX and apps, I use Firefox 95% of the time. I have so little free time that the faster loading pages on Firefox, and especially the add-ons and tools, save me hours, if not days a year.

FWIW Mac users can download versions of Firefox "ported" or tuned for their machines. G4, G5 and Intel Mac all have special versions, but the G4 development has stopped. These versions, well my G5 version, runs about 20% faster than the standard FF from Mozilla.

If that's a joke it's very funny, if not I'm sending some guys to help you. I've been on firefox for over 3 years now and have never used IE in all that time. Although I have heard that opera is pretty good, I've had no inclination to try it as firefox is so damn good. Gotta love Mozilla.

lol i made the switch from IE to FF ages ago... i think i refused to go from FF1.5 to 2.0 for some reasons i have now forgotten, but FF is great.

only a few problems with a few programs for my uni work that only work on IE......urrrg!
