LIve Fight Night Tonight on SPIKE!
the finals match for TUF contract!
and some other stuff :1orglaugh
i can't wait it's 4 hours away!

The Sanchez fight owned. I do hate him but good fight.

Yeah I was impressed with Sanchez. He couldn't do the takedowns but he turned to striking and overcame.

Amir's a badass...and he doesn't act like one! Well earned contract! I know there is some conspiracy to that arm bar but CB got himself into that problem (twice already) and should have been more careful.

I was rooting for Tanner, but he did look awful. Surprised Grove didn't finish him. Thought he was going to a few times.

sanchez looked pretty solid maybe the OLD diego sanchez is back.
i loved the evan almighty beard on evan tanner. but he didn't really do much, a split decision? what was that judge watching?
i said (to myself) before the Contract match that Cb is really better than he is doing, than he goes out and does the exact same fight that he did vs amir AND tim!
and i don't care what anyone says...HE TAPPED. Rogan was right Herb Dean needs to protect from injury and Cb gave the slightest tap and that's all it takes!
overall i thought it was a great show. no early stoppages decided by the refs, the fights were relatively long (the 1st 2 fights went to decision) so we got our money's worth..(oh we didn't have to pay for this!). sweet
and i like the info about the new season of TUF

Josh Thomson kicked Gilbert Melendez' ass last night at Strikeforce. Nice to see The Punk finally fight to his potential. I thought Melendez was a blue chipper with his wins in Pride, and over Clay Guida but he didn't have much for Thomson or Ishida. Come to think of it, he didn't look all that great against Tetsuji Kato either. Maybe he needs to get away from Nick Diaz, Cesar Gracie and the rest of those potheads.

Who do you guys got for Rampage vs Forrest? I'll say Rampage KO R2. Is it a foregone conclusion that Rampage has this or are there a lot of people giving Griffin a chance?

I just don't see much that Forrest does better than Quinton. I've had a couple of people tell me Forrest's jiu jitsu gives him a chance but he's never submitted ANYBODY besides a half-dead Shogun. My mother could've choked out Shogun at that point. Rampage has only been caught once by a submission, and that was against Mr. Sakuraba. No shame in that. Also Forrest is easily baited into a stand up brawl and Rampage has the power, technique and chin advantage.

If Forrest is able to pull off another upset (which is always possible in this sport) I'll be just as surprised as last time.

In my opinion Forrest is lucky to be where he's at now.
When they air season 1 of TUF, he was never picked to fight (not that I remember).
He just happens to stumble into the final without fighting. That's why they change it up a little where everyone has to fight twice and win to advance to the final.
Granted him and the American Psycho put up one hell of a fight but in the end....I he got lucky to be where he's at now.

Upsets are inevitable but I like Rampage. Doesn't matter which round...it's going to be a KO.

I atch it when i find it on. were can i get a schedual of when UFC is on TV?

I'm betting against the odds. I'm going for Forest. Anything can happen in MMA :D

That was a good fight to watch, and I have to admit, I'm really impressed with Griffin, he definately showed up tonight.

A very good fight. Griffin had a good strategy and it worked a treat. Thought the way Rampage conducted himself after the fight was brilliant.

ok...to start ...WOW ...one of the best 5 round champiosnship fights i have seen EVER!
honestly i didn't care who won i would have been happy with either. (a tiny tiny tiny edge to forrest) but after the 4th round i looked over at my friend and "what do you think if it goes to a decision?" and after the 1st 2 1/2 minutes of round 5 i looked back over to him and said "they are going to score this fight a draw!"
i was ok with the decision. forrest is a humble guy and rampage is so hilarious.
i was definitely satisified with the outcome of this show.....and i can't wait for another PPV..(but free!) on July 19!

Alright, I guess I'd better find some crow. Disagree with the decision though. I think the challenger should have to do more to take the belt, a close fight like that should go to the champion. The only round Forrest clearly won was R2. I think Rampage took rounds 1,3,4 for sure and the last round was close. Even giving Griffin a 10-8 second round and R5, that's a draw.

I should probably watch it again to get a better read on things, but before the decision came I thought Rampage had it for sure.

Nice to see Patrick Cote pick up a well deserved decision though. Might not get a title shot with an unspectacular win, but he's probably crept up into the top mw 10 in the world now.

i would have given round 4 to forrest he was the agressor that whole round.
my dad always said (but he was refering to boxing and MMA may be a different animal) that the Champ NEVER loses his belt in a decision. if you want to beat the champ KO is the only way to do it. but what if (either boxing or MMA) the challenger wins every round ? can you still use that old addage?
like i said in my prevous post i was sure this was going to be a draw.

squallumz

knows petras secret: she farted.
complete fluke. i cant believe forrest won. rampage dropped him 3 times. only thing that forrest did was that round 2 where he laid on top of rampage and did no damage. this kind of shit is going to cost them a fight-orderer (me). im getting sick of these bullshit decisions. i was completely shocked at the outcome.

Am I the only one that thought Rampage looked out-of-shape? He was a complete 180-degrees from his fight with Hendo. Forest was impressive though.

i don't think he was outta shape i just think he fought a guy who had something to prove and went and did it.
