So apart from the US election, what were your top news stories of 2024?
(Gaza and Ukraine are of course there too)

Non-US elections and regime changes were big. Many countries saw regime changes, either through democracy or rebellion (Bangladesh/Syria). And Canada/Germany get to join in the fun in 2025!

The Crowdstrike glitch showed how interconnected and vulnerable computer systems are. It started in the US, but knocked out systems in Canada. Some Canadian grocery checkout lines were offline because of it. And that wasn't even malicious.

And on the fun side, we have the casual shooting silver medalist, endowed French high jumpers and Aussie break dancers.
