Medical Marijuana

This was just on the front page of MSN. What are ur thoughts about it? Personally I love smoking weed, but that's just me. It says in cancer patients it reduces pain and increases appetite. Do you think marijuana should be legal?

IMO every drug that we legalize and regulate steers business away from the drug cartels, so yeah...

Bad that the first thread I comment on while I'm back is a MM one, but I love Cannabis.

It's been proven to help reduce pain and increase appetites in patients for many years, but it's like it's a dying cause.

1. It became illegal in the 1930s due to a few people hating Mexicans and using that as a bandwagon.

2. It was said to cause anger issues in people.

3. In the 1960s it changed to everyone becoming a hippy and loving. I guess different strains?

4. Can't argue with 2 and 3 because the government said it meaning it's "always right".

5. It's been proven to range around caffeine in the dangerous zone and it's "less addictive" than caffeine. Go figure when I went through caffeine withdrawel to cut I had headaches due lack of caffiene. Usually when I go through Cannabis withdrawel I see my appetite goes back to normal.

6. It has more medical advantages than many of the drugs on the market, but tell that to the drug companies. They can't sell an eighth of weed for 5 billion dollars.

7. I could keep ranting, but ya know Cannabis causes 500 million deaths yearly world wide. Not to mention all the people that become serial killers from smoking weed. They are an angry bunch of potheads and oh yes all potheads are angry and go out shoot people while being lazy on the couch at the same time.

Extra note: Cannabis grows almost anywhere and could be used for paper and many other products instead of cutting down trees. The fact that it grows anywhere is nice since it grows fast as well. It just needs a good amount of sunlight and needs to be watered of course and even in wild in the desert of afghanistan it still seems to grow in many locations "wildly".

Cannabis won't hurt the drug cartels too much legalizing it. It's a very CHEAP drug to produce.
