I still haven't heard from someone I care about in Tokyo, I'm getting concerned. I've heard they're still having power outages.

Haven't heard of any deaths in Tokyo or building collapses so it's most likely a communications problem. Most likely phonelines will be down or kept down to reduce the traffic.

I was glued to the news and twitter reports all morning, this was terrible! Its just amazing the devastation natural can do to us. I am only thank full the Death Toll is way below what it usually would be in places with this kind of disaster and I hope the death toll stays low!

see, this aint good for me here in SF. when they get hit over there, that usually means the West Coast is gonna get hit somewhere. usually up north, but hey never know. ive got my gear and supplies always at the ready, so we'll see

I hope anyone who has friends and ****** over in Japan or in Hawaii are safe and sound as of now. I know many of our foreign ladies from the Asian isles still have ****** overseas. I hope they are well and my prayers, good thoughts and vibes go their way.

It's funny that they were just talking about such a disaster taking place on Yahoo! a couple of days ago with the "Super Moon" coming up in a week. Astrologists predicted that something seismic would happen because of the low tides, though no scientific evidence has ever proven such things. Though it may be circumstantial, the Mayans and others studied the stars quite frequently so may those folks who ask "what's your sign?" aren't all that crazy all the time. I don't know. I just hope everyone is okay and pray for those who lost loved ones.

The big ones are due, it has hit in Japan and well its only a matter of time when it hits here in California.

Japan is the warning bell, we all have to be prepared, its not the end of the world, just the the unfortunate natural events that occur, guess its just our faults for decided to live in an area which these things happen.

So. California is waaaaaay overdue. Everyone in the Ring of Fire has already had their big quakes. Guess who hasn't?
When it does hit the fan in L.A. it's gonna be serious.

Japan is the most prone earthquake nation along with China, even though Earthquakes in China are not that lethal ie not many deaths
